Heyo I’m writing alectrix smut instead of doing my homework so if you wanna send me prompts I’ll write a drabble for you!

Dear Anon,

(warning: if you know me at all, you know I'm usually super nice. This ain't that. And I apologise but I got words).

In a classic case of be careful what you wish for, I woke up today thinking 'aww my ask box has been so empty lately, I'm sad'.

And then, this. Don't think I don't know who you are. There's no possibility you are anyone but the same anon who decided hate was an appropriate thing to send my good friend @crucioandcoffee. And while he is a better person than I am, and deleted your message immediately, I have no chill. Like. None.

You may be asking yourself, 'where is the ask then?' But here's the thing. I've already deleted it. I had planned on just moving on. I didn't let anyone else see it either, if that's what you were hoping for. If you want to come at me on anon, go for it. I'm one tough bitch.

But I'm more annoyed because you came at my brave friend, who writes beautifully about people no one else bothers to write beautifully. And that has pissed me off. You come at people I care about, you got a different problem.

So instead of ignoring you, I will address your concerns in order:

1. Alecto is a 'heartless character'? A doi.. That's literally the point, but thanks for coming out. She's heartless....for a reason. We like to play with her before she was broken. It's good times. We have what, five sentences of this human in canon? You don't know any more than I do what made her heartless, and as authors, it's our privilege to tell that story. I feel bad for you if you don't believe that people can change; that means you're probably always going to be a petty jerk. Those are your rules, not mine, mate.

2. We should go back to writing other pairs? Perhaps you haven't heard of the basic fic courtesies of DL;DR (don't like;don't read), SALS (ship and let ship). Feel free to skip my Alecto stories if they aren't your thing. Did you think that anonymously messaging us mean things was *actually* going to stop us from writing this pairing? Huh. Very... Optimistic. You clearly don't actually know either of us AT ALL. We are obsessed with these gay assholes. They are not going away.

3. A 'prolific' writer should stick with what they know??? Seriously this one is just annoying. Who are you to tell anyone who is prolific and who ain't. An author is an author if they've written 50 words or 500000k.

Go away.

Just stop spreading hate. The internet is so vast. Just move on if you don't like something. There is never an excuse to ruin someone's day, especially because you don't like something. What are you, five?

I really hope not... Our writing is *really* inappropriate for a five year old...

Cops *do not* date defense lawyers. Besides, thinks Bellatrix,just because this particular defense lawyer is hot and effective and efficientdoesn’t mean Bellatrix wants her! She just has eyes, is all. And admires good work.Even if that work results in the fucking perpetrator walking free dammit. Andshe absolutely is not privately in love with this defense lawyer. She isglaring at Alecto as she walks out the court room, not staring. Glaring, goddammit.

And then of course, because the universe hates here, right as they all begin to walk out of the courtroom there is a bomb threat. And now everyone hasto stay in a hotel, until the investigation is over. And what do you fuckingknow. She’s the only female detective and Alecto is the only female lawyer soof course they get put into a room together. The last available room. The onethat only has one queen sized bed. Because the universe didn’t think it had madeit clear enough to Bellatrix how much it hated her.

But hey, Bellatrix knows how to roll with the punches(literally), and she certainly isn’t freaking out about having to share thehotel room bed because there is no fucking couch for either of them to take. Andno matter how much she hates lawyers, Bellatrix is not going to sleep on thattiny fucking office chair, no sir.

Instead she sprawls on the bed making sure there isabsolutely no room for Alecto, already savoring the epic fight they are sureto have. But instead of greeting Alecto with the barbed comment has ready, sheis woken up by Alecto in a gray nightshirt shoving her, saying, “Hey, we haveto share the frickin bed. That means you do not get to hog all of it bysleeping spread eagled in the frickin middle.”

“Wow didn’t know lawyers weren’t allowed to cuss. Don’t a dirty mouth, sweetheart?”

“I’m not your fucking sweetheart. Now fucking move.”

“Yeah, make me?” (Bellatrix is still half asleep okay. Thisis the best she can do.)

“What are you, five?”

“I sure hope not, or this sexual tension would be awkward asfuck.”

Shit. Shit. Shit. She did not mean to say that. She did notmean to say that. Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck. She’s so busy saying fuck she entirely misses whatever Alecto says in response until-

“-and I’m honestly sick of you eye-fucking me every time we’rein the same room and are you even listening?”

“What?”

That’s all she manages to get out before Alecto smacks herin the face with a pillow. Bellatrix of course has to retaliate and soon they’rein an epic pillow fight five-year old’s can only dream of. And then they runout of pillows, so hand to hand fight it is.

And then. Mouth fighting? Wait no this is kissing. They’rekissing. Oh this is more than kissing. Bellatrix might be in heaven. Nopescratch that, Bellatrix is absolutely in heaven, she’s floating so high she swearsshe’s in fucking space and frankly she’s wondering what kind of ring Alectowould like as she falls asleep.

She’s woken up the next morning with yet another pillow to theface.

They’re both still naked.

“Um. That was great.” They both say it at the same time.

“Uh, wanna have dinner?” Again, at the same time.

“So, I guess this is happening?” says Bellatrix.

“I guess so,” replies Alecto.

“Um. Can I kiss you again. And you know. Maybe other stuff?”

“You’ll say fuck but you won’t say ‘hey can I eat you out,hunh?” Alecto laughs.

“Well, can I?”

“Ask politely.”

“Alecto, can I eat you out?”

“You damn well fucking can.”

Alecto slammed her books down before sprawling in thelibrary chair next to Bellatrix.

“Here’s the situation Ms. Tutor – hold on are you youngerthan me?”

I will not rise to the bait, thought Bellatrix, I will not-

“Yes, I am. Such a shame isn’t it. But well, the young musteventually take care of the old, no?”

“Oh please,” she sneered. “I’m not taking lessons from agoddamn child. You’re beneath me and you damn well don’t have anything to teachme.” Within seconds, Alecto’s bag was over her shoulder and she walked out.

Bellatrix’s eye twitched.

Three weeks later, Alecto slammed her books down on thetable and dropped into the library chair next to Bellatrix. Alecto was fuming.

“What are you fucking smirking at?”

“Ooh you know the word smirking, you’ll pass English with aC- at this rate! What do you even need me for?”

Alecto pounded her fist on the table.

“Listen little girl, you fucking Sophomore, you’resupposedly the best so if I don’t fucking pass my classes, it’ll be because ofyou.”

“First of all, you are literally two years older than I, soget that stick out of your ass. Secondly, tsk, tsk. You do like the wordfucking. That might drop your grade down a couple points, not that you canafford that, of course. Now, do you want to get kicked out of this fancy assuniversity and go back to living with Daddy?”

Alecto blanched. “Why you- “

“Clearly, English is the first thing to tackle, so let’sstart there, don’t you agree?”

Bellatrix steamrollered on, before Alecto could reply.

“Good, now, I got your syllabi from your professors and you’rediscussing Keats. Keats was an English Romantic poet, though of course Romantichere is used in the sense of the art movement…”

 “And anyway, that’s how we met,” said Alecto giving yetanother toast at their wedding.

“Oh hush you,” Bellatrix giggled, already tipsy. “You werehorrid.”

“You gave as good as you got.”

“Fucking right, I did.”

Not for the first time that night and certainly not for thelast, they kissed.
