Ten second photoshoot
Andres Gudiño, Collaboration with Alejandro Ibarra, Untitled, 2017
Each day, in order to be able to confront the harsh realities and judgements of the world, we put on a mask and set out unaware of what we will encounter for the day. Artist Andres Gudiño takes this concept and applies it to his art. Throughout his performances and in documentation of his artwork, he wears a mask that is a caricature of himself. The disguise creates a barrier between the artist and the world, but ironically frees him from the prying eyes of the judgemental public and allows him to express his true inner thoughts and feelings.
