I have it in my head that Alex is such a hopeful, glass half-full kinda guy that he still has a photo of his parents in his wallet even after their lack of acceptance and it brings him too much sadness to get rid of the crinkled fading thing even after all these years. Luke is the one who finally takes it from him and throws it in the trash when Alex comes back from visiting his parents one night with red-rimmed eyes and a heavy heart.

charlie's favourite movie is godzilla (1954). he saw once and was immediately obsessed. he would talk about it to the point where the others were so sick of hearing about it so neil would take him down to the dock just so he could pace around and talk about godzilla

he really enjoys art and he's actually really good when he tries, he's always is drawing in his notebooks because he doesn't absorb information unless his hands are doing something

he really loves swimming, summer is his favourite season because he can drag everyone out to the lake
