I have seen several books with absolutely great cover art. And I have books that I can’t remember the cover, but could tell you the plot like I read them yesterday. [ lily collins, twenty six, she/her ] ━ hey, I just saw [ alexandra “alex” evans ] walking down the streets of crownsville. they’ve lived in town for [ one week ], and you can catch them around town working as a [ tourist ]. I hear they’re known to be [ loyal & fair ] and [ indulgent & spoiled ]. if asked, they would say their aesthetic would be [ front row at ny fashion week, starbucks iced coffee year round, penthouse suite at a five star hotel ]. 

Alexandra “Alex” Evans

From birth she was a princess, the youngest of three to be exact and god was she spoiled. There was nothing she wouldn’t be able to get, flash a smile and the world just did the work around her. There wasn’t a moment in her childhood that she had to fight for something. With either the flick of a finger, a smile or a swipe of a credit card she was getting exactly what she wanted. Her life seemed perfect, perfect home, perfect family. Even the money that the family had was perfect. There wasn’t anything or anyone to stop her from being exactly that, perfect.

She’s a bright bubbly person who likes everything to go her way, she expects it to. If it doesn’t she’ll most likely throw a hissy fit.

Throughout her childhood she enjoyed playing music and singing. She taught herself guitar and piano in her spare time and loves to sing.

High school was easy for her, always the popular girl. The perfect clothes and attitude. Class president. Arrives at every party fashionably late and already half drunk.

She went to college in NYC, going to NYU to study medicine. With a push from her parents to study it and her sister who also pushed her into it.

While in NYC she’s done a few professional shows here and there, gaining quite the following on youtube and instagram for her musical talent. During her senior year of college she was offered a record deal and she turned it down knowing that it’s not what her parents wanted. She has never told anyone about it.

She loves NYC and the people, the fashion and the feel of being surrounded by a ton of people who aren’t expecting anything from her.

She has 2 older siblings, Clarissa and Aidan. She had always been on the outside of the sibling relationship, and most the time she felt out of the loop or ignored.

She hated that Clarissa got more attention than her, especially from her parents. 

She worked hard, in school and on stage, to get their attention, to win awards and to be seen by everyone. She just wanted them to be proud of her.

She enjoys the money that her family has, knowing she had never worked a day in her life, when she was younger, yet she still had so much freedom.

She would drop a million dollars for someone she cared about if they needed something or was in trouble. 

She graduated school with high remarks and immediately began working her way through med school. She’s been working at a hospital close to her home town. 

Her parents died two months ago. Alex is still dealing with the trauma, behind closed doors. With the shock of losing her parents Alex still hasn’t let herself cry about it. She stood at the funeral watching everyone else break down and she couldn’t let herself be anything other than the perfect daughter. She just wanted to make them happy. She has trouble breathing sometimes, not sure what is happening. Truth is the stress of being perfect is getting to her.

Out in the public she’s perfect, just the way she wanted to be seen. Her hair is never out of place, and her makeup never breaks. Her clothes never fail to impress and the red underbelly of her heels can be seen from a mile away.

She’s come to town in search of her sister, hoping to find her and convince her to come home

Wanted Connections

A Friend- Someone to show her around town, make her fall in love with it and see the joy in living as a normal person and not someone who can flaunt money around

A Trusted Person- Someone to break her, to make her feel something other than the facade that she puts on to make everyone think she’s okay.

A Reason to Stay- Someone she falls for, faster than she could imagine. They might start out slow and she might not admit her feelings for them, but they would be someone who makes her want to let her hair down and smile genuinely for once.
