okay this is a little bit different from my normal posts but I fear I need to be serious for a moment. guys. south australia is dying. since march of this year, a toxic algal bloom has spread over much of our beaches, on a bigger scale than that in california. it’s an underwater bushfire. dolphins and sharks and endangered animals have been washing up dead on beaches for months now and half the country doesn’t even know about it. the prime minister only visited the disaster publicly a few weeks ago. if this was happening on bondi beach, it would have been looked and and solved effective immediately. our wildlife is dying, our fishing industry is shutting down, and our main source of tourism can barely be visited anymore. this algal bloom was left with the hope that it would dissipate over winter, and it’s only grown in size. I don’t want my children to grow up never swimming or surfing in the ocean. something needs to be done about this NOW.
