also i really like the idea of a doll and an alien trying to figure out what the hell humans are meant to do anyway (researcher gem and s9 pearl)

okay I may have forgotten about this but I have something to say now so here's some hc9 pearl headcanons

-she purrs like a cat. this isn't specific to hc9 pearl every pearl can do this (it's canon she told me herself /j)

-^she also bites people to show affection

-i think I've said this before but she has a room where she keeps a bunch of sketches and writing about her research on the alien stuff. they make sense to her and she can tell you about them but if you look at the writing/drawings themselves they are so abstract and confusing it hurts your head to try to figure them out (spiral avatar core)

-she often loses track of time and stays up way too late and falls asleep in her laboratories. usually gem or impulse will drag her out and bring her to her actual bed (and then scold her when she wakes up, of course)

-she's basically the only one that knows her way around the alien forest. the forest is very dangerous. do not go in without her. it has claimed many lives (mostly scar).

-the fur on her lower body (see my pearl design) is very thick, so she overheats very easily o_o she keeps her laboratories cold and tends to stay in the shade whenever possible!! on the plus side, the fur protects her from bugs and keeps her dry and of course, is very warm in the snow ^_^

-she uses dangerous alien fungus in her soups to see how they affect people. that's why gem and impulse often get blinded or poisoned by her soups

-and finally, it's not exactly a headcanon but she has absolutely mastered the art of puppy eyes. if she wants your shiny trinkets she will stare at you with the biggest saddest most pathetic eyes you've seen in your life and before you know it she'll be sprinting away giggling and clutching her new treasures

I’m very tired so I drew alien Pearl and a bunch of other hc9 sketches

I tried to base pearl’s alien design off of the big alien that she built over her base and I gave her a lil spacesuit

Also deer gem my beloved she’s not aware of the dangers of caves
