The Flight SMP Legs' skin is straight up Varian from Tangled the series, so I wanted to draw the squad in a lineless style similar to the show. I've since learned that Legs should be build like a brick instead of a string bean, but that's the only big change I'd make to my designs.

Cognitive Dissonance

A fic made for @mcytbattleship!

v!Avid is heavily concussed due to his own foolishness and Legs' duty requires him to watch over them, but he really just wants to go to sleep.

“You should try to sleep, if you can. You’ll need the energy come morning.” Legs covered his candle, plunging them into darkness. Avid let out a thin frightened noise, like a bleating lamb. Then their eyes adjusted to the crimson moonlight pouring through the open ceiling. 

Avid curled his fingers in the thin sheets and gasped, “Don’t leave. Please, don’t leave. I’ll be good. I’ll rest.”

“I’m not going anywhere. Relax, Avid.” Legs said curtly and folded away his writing supplies.

Waltz Miss Shelby Sunnyside requests the honor of Avid Hartweather’s company at a masquerade, in ten days time. Avid never learned how to dance, which is fine because he doesn’t intend to.

The fic was written for @mcytbattleship! Shelby isn't wearing a mask because she is the hostess. Pearl helped plan some activities during the party. Avid's boutonniere is a lily to symbolize his mourning of Elle. His mask also has little horns as a reference to his curse. Drawing the lace pattern on Pyro's mask made my hand cramp. All the vampires are wearing jewelry with 'blood droplets' while all the humans wear flowers of some kind.

Ranboo and Technoblade's trip through the Nether takes an unexpected turn.

Balancing precariously on the one block wide netherrack bridge, gusts of stinging cinders hooking under the seams of their armor, Ranboo crept behind Technoblade as he extended their way forward. Far below them, dark swirling soul sand stripped the bones of long dead monstrosities. The valley was too far across for an easy enderpearl throw (and they were starting to run low), but instead of crossing the relatively mob-less stretch of nether, Techno had broken out his bridging skills.

Another hot slap of air rocked Ranboo over the open drop and they crouched lower, trying to compensate for their spindly height. “Hey, uh, it's fine, but why didn’t we just cross the valley on foot?”

Techno looked up. “Oh! I guess you could have done that, huh? Soul sand doesn’t really agree with me.”
