In 1990, I had witnessed the most darksided event in history. I was a young punk who loved the Sex Pistols and the Dead Boys. I saw Cheetah Chrome vomiting in an alleyway in the Bowery so we because friends shortly after. I came to the Stiv Bators memorial show because I had seen Stiv become roadkill in Paris. I flew out shortly after to witness the joy and sadness overcoming the crowd. When John Thunders walked up to the microphone, the hairs on my arm stood up. I had no idea what was yet to come. He began the set with "Dead Flowers," and although I hate the Rolling Stones, John Thunders made it even worse. I was never a fan of the New York Dolls, but I respected the talent I GUESS. They were too fruity for me personally, like the first time I saw Elvis on television. He looked like he hadn't visited a medical doctor in forty years. John had a green HUE to his skin, which was not as prevalent as in the video, but was definitely still there and I saw it with my own eyes. I did not let these RUIN MY NIGHT, but John ruined the VIBES, scared the hoes, and my girlfriend left me the day after I took her to the event. I have not been able to find love ever since, which is largely to blame with my antisocial behavior after the events that unfolded on June 19, 1990. The only woman who I had ever loved, Carol, really saw me for who I was, the man before the Stiv Bators memorial concert. However, I was not able to keep my composure, which led to the events of my divorce.
