A small crew of well meaning aliens pick up some scraggly miserable human who was like going to be put down or something and attempt to take care of it. The whump is mostly their incompetence as they slowly learn to communicate and care for their human properly. Is this anything

Alien whumpee + humans gone wrong is always so great

Imagine being a regular person and meeting this species thats intelligent like yourself and the first thing they do is treat you like an animal

And it’s even better if whumpee doesn’t look human at all, reduced to a creature because they look so different

And it doesn’t even have to be the classic “captured in a lab” plot. Give me workplace discrimination against aliens. Give me humans and aliens mutually meeting and it going bad. Give me language barriers and shaky peace contracts. Give me culture clashes and opportunistic cruelty. Give me your standard basement torture victim plot but the victim is an alien. Give me your standard basement torture plot but one whumpee is human and the other’s an alien!

Alien forced to navigate/use/live in/etc places and objects and other things that are not built for them…

Or an alien captured to be used as some kind of supply of valuable/useful material. Alien captured to be an attraction at some kind of zoo or made to be an “exotic” pet…

The possibilities are limitless

You can imagine the specifics of the alien however you like~ I have an image in my head but I don't want it to influence yours. :)

The sole pilot of its vessel, the being loses course and is pulled into the surprisingly strong gravity of a bright blue and green mid-sized planet.

In the crash, it is flung from the ship, from the safety of an airlock to the brutal conditions of an unknown world.

Here, the gravity must be more than double that of its home planet. To drag itself from the wreckage puts such strain on it that it is forced to withdraw its protective outer layer. Normally, in the safety of home or the ship, the carapace is easily maintained at all times except with ones' closest companions. Without it, the visitor is left completely exposed.

Even the ground here is cruel - a rougher texture than it thought was possible, grating its exposed skin raw, making thin little slices until its precious fluids begin to slowly leak from it, leaving a trail of iridescent blue.

The planet's closest star is the only one it can see. Where at home six blue stars circle the planet and provide varying levels of soft, distant diffused light from all sides, this star is huge and close and bright. So bright that the creature's vision is unfocused, washed out except for tall looming objects in the peripheral. The star's heat beats down, stifling hot. Its gel-like body feels like it is boiling alive.

Despite the heaviness, the air here is thin. Every sound pours in from every direction, blending into an overwhelming, thrumming cacophony, deep and rumbling through its core.

And then a series of thuds, like being beat in the head over and over, growing closer and closer. Dark figures enter its vision, partially blocking the cruel star, but there is no respite to be had. In a desperate bid for survival, the creature tries to shift the shape of its body into something closer to that of the beings that surround it in the hope that they will show it mercy. But it is weak, and can barely see them, and only manages a pale imitation.

It gives a soft, bubbling keen. A surrender. A plea.

Something long extends from one of the figures and pierces the visitor's skin. In the same moment, a burst of light emits from the end. Razor-sharp agony shoots through its entire body, up its tendrilled limbs, which spasm until they ache. It begs until its voice is raw and it can only make feeble clicks and whines.

The sparks of pain disappear, leaving a dull burning sensation. It lies in an exhausted heap, heaving and trembling, its poor body misshapen from abuse and from the crushing pressure of this horrible place.

One of the looming figures extends a lower limb and nudges its abdomen. Even the slightest prod is torturous, leaving a throbbing indent in its tender skin. It gives another keen, so anguished that no one on its home planet would not be moved to sympathy. But these beings, like their world, are of a harder sort.

The long pole that hurt it extends again, and it recoils as best it can, but then the other figures also extend long poles. They don't emit that awful, burning light again, but they jab and prod so cruelly at it that there is almost no difference. With what little strength it has left it tries to wriggle away, dragging its badly damaged body forward without being able to see where it is going. Suddenly the texture of the ground changes, then the whole ground shifts in a dizzying rush. Hard walls close around it and it is plunged into darkness.

Writing Prompt

TW: blood loss

Whumpy groans as they wake up. Their vision blurred and their head spinning. "Whoa... what is happening?" They ask in a weak voice.

"Easy there, Whumpy. Your in the med bay." Caretaker said, gently pushing Whumpy back into bed. "You need to rest, you have lost a lot of blood and we don't have replacement"

"Who are you? And... why am I on a ship?" Whumpy asks the stranger, as they felt the world sway back and forth. Their hands clinging to the bed sheets.

Caretaker took their hand, and held it gently. "I'm Caretaker, and how did you know you are on a ship?"

"Because I can feel the waves outside..." Whumpy answered as they felt the little energy they had gained was finaly being spent.

"But there are no waves outside? It's not that kind of ship..." Alien-Caretaker said as Whumpy fell back asleep.
