hihi and happy new year <333 for the 5+ headcanons game, can i ask Barrisco with Barry as Golden Glider while Cisco is either himself or the doctor of team Flash? pwetty please?

Happy New Year! Now that's an interesting idea, there's so many options for that one...

Wally's the Flash. Eobard did not take losing his powers and being stuck in the past very well and he decided to take it all out on the eleven-year-old child he blamed for all this instead of taking any responsibility for himself. By the time Barry's twenty, he's being arrested for a minor bit of trespassing (again) that was supposed to lead him to the Man in Yellow and instead ends with him being convicted of a lot of theft he didn't actually do (hard to prove the DNA evidence actually belongs to your twin brother when you don't know your twin brother exists)

Cisco Ramon could have done anything, but he liked helping people so he stumbled his way into medicine. Mostly the researching side, until Dr Wells asked him to look after this coma patient.

Caitlin Snow, for obvious reasons, did not take the loss of her fiancé very well. Cisco and Hartley are the ones left at S.T.A.R. this time, it's Caitlin who is possibly leaning more to the murder side of revenge than the prove Wells lied and Ronnie died for nothing

Iris is the one who introduces Caitlin and Barry. Iris probably doesn't know her brother is the Flash. Or that she has a brother. She might be doing crime with Barry at this point, she's probably a journalist and Barry's a source of hers (the crime thing did not stop them being best friends), maybe Barry just ended up owing Leonard Snart a lot of favours and that involved him building a Cold Gun based on Caitlin's powers, regardless, Caitlin and Barry end up as a Rogue double act. Maybe a triple act with Iris.

Barry is Golden Glider for the ice skating reason. He actually might still have superspeed (maybe not as much, but gold lightning, hence the name), or almost superspeed or something, but he grabs the ice skates because he's hanging out with ice themed villains and it's much easier to skate than run on ice.

Cisco is the one who dubs him Golden Glider. Barry is very smitten. They might still meet because Barry helps kidnap Cisco? Or Lisa still does that bit then gets a bit grumpy Barry gets the cool Cisco name, but she still gets a Gold Gun out of this, and Barry helps her rob several banks. Or Lisa gets a Heat Gun too and, post Leonard and Mick going off with the Legends, it's Caitlin, Lisa, and Barry who are the main Rogues.

Cisco still becomes Vibe. Literally all of Central knows Golden Glider goes and robs museums and science labs purely as an excuse to flirt with Vibe. The photo of them making out while technically waiting for the police to show up to arrest Barry (Lisa and Caitlin drag him off before this happens) doesn't even make it to the front half of Central's gossip magazines, that's just a normal Tuesday.

The Rogues do help with big things though, like fighting Zoom. They've protected the city loads of times. Lisa insists this is because they need there to be banks for them to be able to rob banks. Caitlin normally has some excuse about old friends and owing them that no one believes. Barry doesn't even pretend he needs any convincing, all it takes is Cisco saying please and he's there (he likes Wally too, especially now he knows that's Iris' little brother). He does like the breaking into places to flirt with Cisco though, and Cisco cannot convince him to stop doing that when Cisco also enjoys the breaking, entering, and flirting.

Henry does get out of prison (thanks to Wally). He and Joe can't say they approve of Barry's exploits, but at least his boyfriend is nice.

Barry practically stumbles and falls into Cisco's hug when he arrives at the party and beelines for him. and Barry's so tired, so lost and everything's woozy, so so woozy. he wants to tell Cisco, he tries to tell Cisco, to tell him, "i want to stay with you."

Barry starts saying it, "i want to stay... i want to... i want to stay with..."

Eobard is right there, close, behind Cisco and his eyes are sharp and intense and incredibly menacing, his mouth tense and tight. he mimics a vibrating to his own heart with a very pointed look towards Cisco. his expression is almost regretful, then gleeful, then remorseful some more and his eyes always possessive on Barry.

"i want to stay with him," Barry says, then.

... yeah. it's not me really writing it, just like jotting down notes but i thought of this immediately.

10/10 no notes. Man, the trope where whumpee has to ward off any potential rescue is always superb; and you executed it perfectly here. Barry trying to communicate to Cisco that he wants out even with Thawne’s earlier threat… Barry Self Sacrificing Idiot Allen doing that?? REALLY establishes the stakes because it would take a lot for him to risk that, and now I’m very worried about him cause whatever Thawne did/is doing must be really really bad. And that threat from Thawne 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌. And you know there’s gonna be a hundred thoughts running around Cisco’s head when he turns around sees who Barry’s talking about…

if i may ask about Stray Gods, of all the playthroughs you've played and seen, what is your favorite version of Aphrodite's route? your favorite choices during her song The Ritual and its outcome?

Of course! Personally, I really love Green choices with a red final choice. I love the Lost in a Moment version, and Eros' part in that version, I just 🥺😭

But I really like the opening parts of the blue versions too, not the blue chorus though. 😅

Eros' part in a red/blue first choice, green chorus and red fourth choice also hits hard. I heard that version in this compilation.

Admittedly I have a hard time wrapping my mind around all the potential variations of the songs @_@

i want more of the Reverb fic obviously but i know there's already two posts and a lot of snippets. i'm going to ask about the Serial killer au, i'm super curious about that one too

*cracks knuckles* I STARTED WATCHING CRIMINAL MINDS AND I’M MAKING IT EVERYONE’S (Barry’s) PROBLEM!!!!! Edit: I don’t really bring up the CM-esque stuff in this post, cause it’s all kinda spoilers, but trust me; it’s there.

I’ve gotten to have a lot of ‘firsts’ with this au, and the most notable is that it’s a no power au!! Which means Barry is able to be kidnapped soooo much more easily :D it’s great! He’s a CSI still, so ofc he’s one of the ones well-equipped to catch the serial killer (whose identity you’ll neverrrr guess in a million years <- lying) currently terrorizing Central City. And Iris is working with him too, though not officially. Actually, closer to the time the planned fic takes places, neither of them are working on it officially. Hmm I wonder why :):):):):)

But that’s the au as a whole, and atm I’m only planning on writing one scene for it. And that scene’s pretty straightforward. Barry gets called to a seemingly-normal crime scene. A couple claims that someone broke into their house in the middle of the night and left a dead body behind, but that’s not what possibly could’ve happened right??? Way too far-fetched, they probably just killed the guy themselves surely :) cause fr, who would do such a thing, and why… :)

Aside from the actual events of the fic though— I’m really excited for this one cause it’s one of my favorite kind of narratives. The whole fic is subtly (and not) dropping hints about, and leading up to, the Reveal; and it’s very fun to write. Directly after the Reveal is gonna be sweet (read: whumpy) too, I’ve never done it like this before <:D

Snippet time! I’m about 1/3 done with a draft of the opening scene, and this seemed like a fitting one to share:

Ducking below the crime scene tape, he couldn’t help noticing the number of eyes on him. For a moment he thought it could’ve been due to his rare punctuality—the scene happened to be only four miles from his apartment—but on second glance their looks were… Wary, concerned. He shouldered on with a sigh, and wondered when they’d stop seeing him as a ghost. Really, the autumn leaves crunching under his steps made him wince enough.

But when Barry took the first step onto the porch, something prickled at the back of his neck. Too familiar of a feeling, like he was being watched. He shook it off when he walked through the doorway, even as a chill passed over him.

My lips are sealed.

so in my head they're often exes having dated in college at some point (Hartley's I think canonically in the show a little older than Team Flash, somewhere between 27-30 in season 1 and I know Eddie didn't necessarily HAVE to go to college to become a detective but he's a Thawne so I think he probably did)

neither of them were ready for a real relationship - Eddie was discovering his sexuality and Hartley had JUST come out to his parents and we all know how well that goes, so it ended messily with a lot of miscommunication (but Eddie was definitely still a supportive boyfriend when he heard how Hartley's parents reacted)

they meet again during or after The Sound and The Fury (if during, I like the idea of Eddie shooting Hartley's gauntlets, maybe even while he was still wearing them, to save Barry - if after, maybe Hartley actually gets sued by his shitty parents for attacking Rathaway Industries and maybe arrested so Hartley's pissy with him and bitchy but there's TENSION)

Eddie and Iris break up at some point either because of all the EoWells shit or Iris getting fed up with the lying or because Iris and Barry have feelings for each other

meanwhile, Hartley gets over his jealousy and hangups with EoWells and redirects his petty revenge plan energy slightly

Eddie and Hartley rekindle their romance and they're much healthier about it now cause they're both older and more mature <3333

unfortunately that's all I can put into words right now lol
