James Herriot on meeting the cast of All Creatures (1978-1990)
I was talking to my brilliant Yorkshire-descended grandmother the other day about my love of All Creatures, and she went upstairs and brought me a book from her attic. It was the beautiful James Herriot's Yorkshire, full of stunning photographs of the areas of Yorkshire he knew so well paired with recollections by Herriot himself of times spent there. (I think I'll post a selection of photos at a later date, @teabooksandsweets) One particularly interesting section was the above, where Herriot describes briefly his first encounter with the cast of the 1978 TV series.
