"You've got to be kidding me." Will let out, eyes full of disbelief. His stare intense as he bored holes into the forearm of the sleeping figure. Licking his lips nervously at Allanon's call, "Will, what have you found?"
Never once looking up from the person sleeping inside the ancient tech capsule thing, the young Shannara answered," I think I just found your soul mate."
All druids have two soulmates, it’s a simple fact. Druids however are all but extinct. Only one remains, Allanon.
~~~
“Amerberle stop!” you whine and splash the princess right back.
“(Y/N)!” she laughs and pushes water right back at you. Amberle is your cousin but as close as your sister. You fled the kingdom together.
Amberle suddenly stops short and grabs your hand. She pulls you behind a boulder and holds a finger over her lips.
“Stay here,” she whispers and creeps out of the water. With your heart beating fast and fear clamping down you peer out from behind the boulder.
A handsome blonde man is sifting through your and Amberle’s clothing.
Amberle comes up behind him and holds her sword to his throat.
They speak for a moment before Amberle lowers her sword and he turns around.
“(Y/N) you can come out and get dressed now!” Amberle calls. Cautiously you come out of the water and quickly pull your dress on.
That’s when a loud screeching noise echoes in the air.
“Demon,” the man whispers and whips around.
“Hey! What if she wasn’t done?!” Amberle snaps and grabs your arm pulling you close. “(Y/N) this is Wil.”
You lock eyes with the man and time seems to stop.
“Soulmate,” he murmurs and reaches out to you.
“Demon!” Amberle snaps and claps her hands. This jolts us from our gaze and sends us sprinting back to our Aunt.
When we arrive we’re too late the demon has devoured our aunt.
“NO!” Amberle and I screech.
The demon rears its ugly head and comes towards you. Wil takes your hand and pushes you behind him.
Before the demon can get to close a large man appears from nowhere and knocks it to ash with his sword.
“Oh my!,” you gasp. “Oh my!”
Your savior gets to his feet and approaches.
“I am Allanon, I’m here to take you Princess Amberle and Princess (Y/N) back home,” the man informs gruffly.
And then it happens again.
You lock eyes with Allanon and times seems to stop.
“Soulmate,” you whisper.
“What?” Amberle exclaims. Allanon reaches towards you and without thinking you leap into his arms.
“Allanon is a druid. He has two soulmates (Y/N) and I,” Wil explains and then joins in the embrace. Smushed between your soulmates you feel like the safest elf in the world.
“I never thought-I’m so happy! I mean I’m fucking distraught because I just saw my aunt devoured but I’m happy too!” you gush as tears start streaming down your cheeks.
Allanon and Wil hold you while you sob and take great care in keeping you safe for the rest of whole ordeal.
Summary: Allanon is acting strange and the reader is cross with him after what happens to Bandon.
Series: The Last of the Fae
AN: I’m not including characters in the series from now on because I can’t remember them all and well it’s kinda extra... The gif... She’s part of the story and I think this is actually after she was attacked...
Chapter Four
I ran to Allanon’s room, hoping to see him there, I caught him just as he was leaving.
“Allanon, thank god, the Changeling isn’t dead and is very much alive and wandering around Arborlon,” I say, slightly out of breath.
“I’ll let Eventine know when I next see him, and make sure he is more careful than he already is,” Allanon says and walks off. That was slightly odd, but okay. I think and decided to take a break from everything for a short while, desperately needing some alone time.
Time Skip
I had fallen asleep and was being awoken by Allanon. His face was grim and I knew something bad had happened.
“What’s happened?” I ask, dreading the answer.
“It’s Bandon. You need to come with me now,” He replied, and grabbed my hand and began to lead me to where Bandon was.
I could only follow after him, as he wouldn’t tell me what he had done. When we got to the room, I saw Bandon laying on the bed, just breathing. Something was very off, all he was doing was breathing, but I could sense something was wrong with him. I turn and look at Allanon, who was trying to avoid looking at me.
“What happened? What did you do?” I ask, stepping in front of him, to make sure he looked me in the eyes when he gave his answer. He finally looked at me, and I could see the regret in his eyes.
“I had him try and communicate through the Ellcrys, to get to Amberle, but then his eyes turned black and he collapsed after I got his hand off of the tree,” he replies. You stare at him for a moment before you turn to Bandon, because you cannot look at him at the moment.
“Why? Why would you do this after I explicitly told you that Bandon didn’t need to be involved in any of this? Did you even think to consider the consequences of what would happen?” I ask loudly, having turned to face him in the middle of your small speech. I crossed my arms, in fear that I might hit him if I didn’t.
He sighs, then, “Yes, I considered most of them, and I did not believe that this would, or even could happen. I swear, I didn’t want him to be harmed.”
“Yeah, well he’s hurt, thanks to you,” I say, and go sit next to where Bandon lies.
Allanon left the room for a brief time, and I grabbed Bandon’s hand, seeing if I could possibly heal him, or do anything at all.
I reached deep within me and call up on the magic of old. I pour the magic into Bandon to try and bring him back. I sensed darkness when I walked into the room and now I can feel it in him.
My magic battles the darkness in Bandon and I was able to relinquish most of it but I couldn’t take it all out, the darkness in him was almost as strong as the magic I held within me. I could’ve banished it all but I was too tired to do anymore.
I move onto the bed to lay next to Bandon so that I wouldn’t get a knot in my neck when I fall asleep.
When I woke next, it was to the sound of screams. I jumped up and saw Allanon and Bandon with pitch black eyes. Allanon was holding Catania by the neck.
I focus my magic and send a wave of light towards them, removing the demon’s hold on them. Allanon let go of Catania and stumbled a bit, while Bandon fell off the bed. Then, Arion came in and looked around the room.
“Take Catania with you and tell your father that the changeling is not dead,” I instruct Arion.
“I’ll tell him right away,” he says taking Catania with him.
I looked back to the other two in the room. “What happened to him?” I look to Allanon.
“The Dagda Mor has taken his soul,” he responded, placing Bandon back on the bed.
“That’s why I can’t restore him,” I say out loud. “I can’t vanquish the darkness because the darkness has taken him to a place I hardly go.”
“What do you mean?” Allanon looked to me.
“The Dagda Mor is strong but I’m stronger because I have the magic of the fae and that of darkness,” I start to explain. “Essentially it is possible for me to get Bandon’t soul back but I must be in a place that I can be undisturbed yet still have ties to magic,” I start pacing the room, Allanon’s eyes on my every movement. “It’ll take a toll on me and I must be in my true form so it can work,” I finish.
“Where is your magic strongest?” he inquires.
“Near the Ellcrys, the Druid Cave was also a good spot for me,” I answered.
“We can’t have you near the Ellcrys but you can take Bandon with you to the Druid Cave and do what needs to be done,” he determined.
“What about you?” I walked a little closer to him and grab his hand. “I can feel the darkness in you, let me help you,” I said about to let my magic flow into him.
“No,” he reclaimed his hand. “I can fight off the Dagda Mor on my own,” he said.
“But you don’t have to,” I looked at him with hopeful eyes.
“You need your magic to heal Bandon. You should not waste it on me,” he said with no room for argument. “Get ready to leave when night arrives, I will get everything set and talk with Eventine,” he walked out the room not even letting me say anything.
Chapter Three
When we get to the throne room, we see that the rover had already been taken to the cells, so Bandon and I went to find Amberle, Wil, and Allanon.
We ran into the halfling first, “Halfling, where are the others?”
“Wil, my names Wil and Allanon went to his room and Amberle went with her grandfather,” he said.
“Bandon you go with Wil and find Amberle, make sure she’s safe,” I instruct. “I’ll go and find the druid,” I focus and track the essence his magic leaves behind.
I find his room and knock on his door. “It’s open,” I hear his gruff voice.
“Allanon, the rover, was it the changeling?” I get right to the point.
“No, she is human, the changeling is still out there,” he steps out of the bathroom and grabs his sword.
“Take me to her,” I demand. He looks at me but leads me down there anyway. I telepathically tell Bandon to take the two down to the dungeons.
The walk down is filled with silence. We got there and Bandon and the others were already there.
“Why are we down here?” asked Amberle.
“Bandon saw someone with you when he touched you,” I walked behind Allanon who lead to Eretria.
“I saw her,” Bandon said looking towards the rover.
“What?” Amberle asked. “No, she’s not- she can’t be,” she tried to deny it.
“Well she is and she will join the two of you to deliver the seed to the Bloodfire,” I announce.
“No!” Amberle exclaimed.
“It’s for the good of the land! You will either do this or doom us all!” I raise my voice and look at her.
“There is no other way, it must be done,” Allanon steps in, with much more calmness.
Amberle looked like she wanted to argue some more but she didn’t have a chance.
“If you don’t get over your petty little fight about her and let her join you then we will all die because of your ignorance,” I glare at her.
She looks to me and then to Allanon, “Alright.”
“Good, now that that’s settled, is there anything else Allanon?” I looked to him, knowing he wanted to say something.
“We must speak with Eventine,” is all he said as he walked out of the dungeons and to, most likely, the throne room.
We follow after him and when we get to the throne room, Allanon and I plan the way to distracted and capture the changeling. We decided that the captain of the guard will accompany Eretria and Wil to a safe place and lure the changeling there, while Allanon and I protect Amberle at another location.
So far the plan was coming along until Wil ran over to Amberle. “It’s not safe,” he exclaimed.
Allanon held me back but that’s when you sensed the darkness, it wasn’t Wil at all, but the changeling.
“It’s not Wil,” I furiously said and Allanon burst into action once he heard that and the change of voice.
He came out from the shadow and turned around, snapping the changeling’s neck. I was right behind him and was staring at him in awe. How have I never seen him fight before? Well I have but it’s still amazing. Amberle was staring in shock and let out a small gasp.
I walk over to her, “It’s okay, everything's okay.” She merely nods at your words, and still continues to stare at the body. Then Wil, the real halfling, came bounding in and we all looked at him, and his gaze shifted to his dead body. He had an incredulous expression which morphed into one of slight disgust and horror when the body changed to it’s natural form.
“Burn the body and put the ashes in this,” Allanon handed a small vase to one of the guards. He turns to me, “make sure they do as I said, I’ll see the them off,” he looks towards Amberle and Wil.
I nod my head and head to Bandon’s room first to make sure he’s okay. I find him laying in his bed, “Hey we got the demon.”
He hums in acknowledgement, “I’ll come back later,” I say and leave him to his thoughts.
I walk out to where they were burning the body and find the guards dead. Allanon is gonna be so mad. I think to myself as I run back into the palace hoping to track the demon.
Imagine being a druid that survived the third War of the Races and meet Allanon and completely crush on him
MASTERLIST
Requested: YES Hi, how’s it going? I saw that you wrote for The Shannara Chronnicles and I wanted to request an imagine with Allanon. So like the reader is a druid, that also somehow survived the previous war, she goes to the ‘temple’ at the same moment he goes back for the book and she eventually goes with them, helping them and crushing on Allanon. The ending I will leave in you hands
Tagging @weirdnewbie who requested amd @salvatorexwinchester who is just on my permanent tag list
You had been awakened by the sound of voices you did not recognize. You had made Druid’s Keep your home and so with the intruders, you drew your blade and slowly crept over to a wall that would keep you hidden. You peered around the wall and saw two men. One blonde and smaller than the other, who was quite handsome, that had dark hair and was wearing what you recognized as clothes of the Druids. But you didn’t trust him. Slowly, you were able to bypass the dark haired man and snuck up behind the blonde. You grabbed im by the back of his shirt and held your blade at his neck. You wrapped your left arm to pin his arm behind him. He made a small noise and that drew the attention of the other. He saw you and just stared for a moment.
“Who are you? How do you know about this place?” You ask.
“My name is Allanon, my friend that you are holding is Wil. I know this place because this is Druid’s Keep. I used to train here with my mentor Bremen. I participated in the War of the Races with Eventine. I am most likely the last druid that is alive, unless you are one as well?” He replied, and had a question of his own for you.
You let out a soft sigh and let Wil go. “Yes. I am a druid. And uh, sorry Wil. So Allanon, why did you come back after all this time?” You ask.
“We came here for the Codex of Paranor. Wil, is the last son of Shannara. He is going to learn how to master the elfstones and some magic.” Allanon replied, while turning his back and searching for where the codex might lay.
“Allanon. It’s just up ahead. Right in front of you, all the inscriptions on the wll? That’s where it lies.” You say. He goes over to the wall and examines it for a second before Wil starts talking about going to Storlock when Allanon told him that he was never going to Storlock, because the elfstones were guiding him to Allanon. Then there was a bunch of wind from all around and he used his magic to get the codex from behind the wall.
“Now, do you believe?” Allanon asks Wil.
“Allanon, let me heal you, I’m one of the few that know how to heal, and fight. Please. Let me help you.” You said, feeling and sensing the pain he was in. He only shrugged you off.
All of a sudden, after Allanon had opened the codex, he was talking and sort of freaking out and acting weird. You and Wil looked at each other before returning your gazes back to Allanon. Then your vision changed. You could see Allanon but not Wil. You turned to see the Dagda Mor. He hadn’t noticed your presence until he turned his gaze to you. Allanon looked over to what he had turned away to, to find you standing there. You only stared at the floor. He could not force you to do anything.
“I haven’t fought, nor killed anything yet, so you cannot control me in any way. Nor can your demons impersonate or harm me. I’m what some call, pure and untainted. That will never change.” You said quickly. You saw that Allanon had drew his blade and tried to attack the Dagda Mor, and then the both of you were out of the trance-like state he had put you both in.
Allanon had his hand in Wil’s face and then when he put his hand down, he said, “We need to get to Arborlon.” So, the three of you went to Arborlon, but you all were too late. All the Chosen, except for one, were dead.
TIME SKIP
Allanon had just been hurt, so you took him to the cave while tellng Wil and Amberle to go back to Arborlon. You hated seeing him pain so you took some of it away. But you couldn’t do much for his injuries. You could only hope that he would use one of his own incantations to activate the rock to heal him. You were leaning against the wall watching and waiting for any movement but you fell asleep.
Allanon was watching you for a little bit, allowing you a few more moments of rest before deciding to wake you, even though you were very cute when you were asleep.
“Y/N. You need to get up. We need to meet up with Wil and Amberle.” He says, trying to wake you. Slowly, you open your eyes and see that he’s up and his injuries are gone. You jump up and hug him.
“Oh, uh sorry. I am just so glad that you’re okay. I couldn’t do anything to help you and I felt so helpless and-” You say but are cut off by lips pressing against yours.
“For once, shut up.” Allanon said with a grin. You were staring at him in shock for a second before you went forward to crash your lips onto his again. You both pulled away breathless and just looked at each other.
“So, that uh, that just there, you like me too?” You ask, making sure that it wasn’t just a dream.
“Yes. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have done it silly. Now, Come on. We should go. We need to mke sure they are all right.” Allanon replied.
“Ok.” You say, extremely happy he likes you back.
Hope you all like it!! Please let me know what you think!
Imagine being the one elven druid who figured out how to become immortal without using terrible means
MASTERLIST
Since discovering the secret to immortality, you kept your powers as hidden and suppressed as possible. Very few people recognized you from the war, but they never said anything. You were a head guard and made up Amberle’s protection detail. She trusted you and you trusted and hung out with her when she needed someone other than her unle’s and fiancé.
You missed some of your friends and especially Allanon. He was your best friend and he was the only other person who truly cared for and loved (although you’d never admit it) and wished to tell him of your secret. But, the top druid at the time when you discovered this, insisted on not telling anyone. And so you didn’t. And you had lived for centuries without aging a day.
The princes and the king had been having a conversation about the Ellcrys, and the man who came in said, “The Ellcrys is more than just a tree. I can assure you of that boy.” Both of the princes drew their swords while you stood up and in a bit in front of the king, but still behind the princes.
Arion said, “Stop there! How did you get past the home guard?”
“Eventine, please tell your son, I mean no harm.” The man replied, and took off his hood. To say you were shocked would be an understatement.
“Allanon. Put down your sword boy.” Eventine breathed out. He walked over and greeted Allanon.
You were still shocked and had been staring. You had blocked everything out and were still staring at Allanon when you started walking up to him. When you got up to him, you slowly reached back and took your hood off as well, to show him your identity. He gasped slightly. He immediately grabbed you by the shoulders, and gazed into your eyes for a moment to make sure it was really you. Then, he sweeped you into his embrace, and you returned the hug.
