I wonder if Skyfire and Starscream ever caught Prime crying 👁️..I know it's very unlikely, especially in regards to canon Optimus in TFP, stoic as ever, nobody has seen him cry except *maybe* Ratchet (thought only comes because he's known him for so long) I'd like to think that if he's still capable of crying, he'd try to do it in private. The guilt of others seeing him crumble when he's supposed to be the guiding light of the whole Autobot cause.

Hello, I'm finally here (sorry for taking long time... I'm super happy of all questions ppl do but life is complicated and I ended have a mailbox super full and I keep falling late) Excuses aside, here we are: as you said, yes we see Optimus as a very stoic one, a solid rock, the one that never let you down. For us, the unbreakable and unbendable Optimus is what he become after the decline of civil war on Cybetron. Back on "Megatronus" days (when they were... ehm very close), he was still very naive and he regrets every single day how the things went (and in "The Deal" went a little worse and complicated than as described in "Exodus"). He still thinks that if he managed to see Meg for what he was becoming, maybe Cybetron wouldn't fell into war and total destruction. If Sky or Star could catch him cry one day? Mh, we'll see: I really give the best to make things looks legit (even that is fanon and got headcanon) in "The Deal" and I really need some time to make this happening to look solid. I need to build this, like something that is useful to the plot and not only because I crave to make the poor Optimus vent out (and I assure you, I really crave this) . So, is on the table, but I still have to get when to add this to the dish. Said all above, I can confirm that when he was Orion Pax and less after got the Matrix, he absolutely cry and let his emotion out more often (even when he started to be less naive). Mech very close to him like Jazz (described as his only real first friend in Exodus) surely have seen him cry. I can think the Exodus moment in which he kills his first decepticon. Or when he decided to expell the all spark out of cybetron (avoiding Megatron corrupt the core), make the planet dying and risk to have Bee killed. I choose to make a short (canon for "The Deal") about this last part TvT Poor younger Optimus.

TFP: THE CHILD OF ORDER

Long ago, when the Thirteen original primes defeated the evil god known as UNICRON the chaos bringer. Life on Cybertron began to thrive, with the Thirteenth as its protectors.

But even after the successful defeat of the evil deity. New conflict occurred, as new and more dangerous threats arose. The Thirteenth then realized that their time as Cybertron’s protectors was limited. As they knew they would not always be there to protect and watch over it.

And so, a powerful creation was made to be Cybertron’s hidden hope.

With the Allspark’s aide, the Thirteen primes sacrificed a piece of their own sparks, their power, their essence, to create the most powerful being imaginable.

A being whose sole purpose was to ensure that no threat would harm Cybertron or its people.

He takes dark energon to contact Unicron.

Megatronus: "Only for this time: do you see that grey mech with red optics?" He points to the sort of portal-window where it can be seen Autobots and Decepticons fighting.

Unicron: "So you want me to make him suffer? So, we have some scraplets that can infest his base, some nightmares about his ex Conjunx Endura, ...

Prima: "Megatron and Optimus were not..."

Megatronus: "Co-smic Ru-st!"

Prima and Unicron: 😧

Unicron: "What?! Ok, wait! There are other types of torture we can use..."

Megatronus: "GIVE TO MEGATRON COSMIC RUST! GIVE IT TO HIM NOW!!!"
