Summary: Benny's afterlife had been simple. Fight, kill, or run. But then fate had smiled upon him and delivered Dean Winchester, a living breathing human who would be his means of escape. But Dean and Castiel have their own tangled history they can't shake, and Benny finds that for once in any of his incarnations, he wants to help them, just as much as he wants to help himself.

The complicated path this fic took from inception to presentation almost mirrors the tangled journey the boys took in the story. I started, set it aside, came back to it, tweaked, edited, backtracked, and then finally decided that I was just going to give them the happy ending they had earned. And truly deserved. Because I decided that no angel left behind needed to be the mantra that repeated on a loop in my head and then I went about guaranteeing that it was fulfilled.

I need to thank Liz so much for creating such amazing art that captured the spirit of the fic. She came in clutch after a last-minute replacement, and I can't thank her enough for stepping up and helping out! A warm thanks to the mods at @spnaubang as well, because they gave me the motivation to finish this piece that might have lingered otherwise. So please, settle in, and I hope you enjoy a fic where no angel is left behind, but then my favorite vampire gets his happy ending as well. And Dean? He can't be reached for comment... 😉

Summary:
