"What does [Spinel] think about Amethio, who has left the organization?"
The guy who lied to a father about his son being dead and who then seduced said father has something to share <3
Will forever be a Pink Diamond/Rose defender because people be hating her to much.
I fully agree, Pink/Rose did bad things but she has changed for the better.
“She abandoned Spinel” yeah, that was terrible but she probably abandoned her because she wanted to try and mature since Spinel was pretty much a toy, also we never heard Pink/Rose’s thoughts about it as she began fighting for gem rights. For all we know, she could have wanted to go back for her but physically couldn’t or just assumed the other Diamonds collected her. She probably never thought Spinel will literally be in that garden standing still for years
“She let Steven have deal with her issues” she thought the war was over. Literally her and the other Crystal gem’s biggest problem after the war was dealing with Corrupted Gems. The only reason why the Diamond and other homeworld gems got involved was because of the cluster, which the Crystal gems had zero knowledge off.
“But she hurt the Diamond’s feeling after her ‘death’” she literally didn’t think the Diamonds cared enough about her. Especially after emotionally and physically hurting her for years. Yes, they cared and love her but that still doesn’t justify what they did to her
“She acts like a child” not like other gems act like children or immature in the series (Amethyst or the group of Rubies being the biggest examples). And keep in mind, she did matured a bit
“What she did to Pink Pearl—“ it was an accident. Build up frustration will lead you to explode, which she did, but always in private but Pink Pearl was to close at the time. Obviously she didn’t mean to and she was punished by having Pink Pearl taken away and replaced by our Pearl. She learned her lesson and didn’t do that around Pearl.
Her biggest flaws is that she doesn’t know her importance to other people and not thinking fully ahead. Which is part of the reason she did what she did.
Do keep in mind, not saying no one should dislike her. But jeez how the fandom treats her worst than White Diamond
had some more thoughts for that dumb SU AU thing i recently posted about so here goes nothing (warning, a bit long and kind of all over the place)
what if Susie and Noelle switched places so that Noelle is in Steven's place and Susie in Connie's?
since Noelle also doesn't at first know she has powers (or how she uses them), i think it could be cool to have her slowly figure out her powers like Steven did. just that instead of a shield it's her ice magic. she can at first only really use it as a shield, but later figures out more ways to utilize them
i also think Noelle has more of a connection to Spamton and the mikes than Susie does (perhaps also to Jevil but i'm not sure right now). also i think it makes more sense for her to fawn (heh) over Susie like Steven does to Connie at first (i mean for Susie kind of as well, but Noelle makes it way more obvious since the beginning)
for her gem placement (since she's gonna be a half gem) i thought of the back of her hand cause it'd be too big to fit on her finger (ya know, ice ring and such), but wrist could also work (like her watch?)
now that i think more of it i think Kris would probably be the obvious choice for Steven. if i choose Kris, then their gem placement would obviously be on the chest, and their weapon would be a sword and a shield, like in the dark world. their gem would be red and heart shaped and it'd be underneath their shirt. they'd try to rip it out sometimes cause at first they hate being a half gem (either too much responsibility or they'd think they're even more of an outcast than they already are).
anyway, that would make Toriel have the role of Greg (but i'm not making Asgore into Rose in that case lol)
by the way, everyone stays as a monster with Kris as the only human cause i don't wanna have to figure out human designs for every single monster, also i think it's cooler like that lol
i wanna somehow incorporate something like the dark world (or at least the DW appearances for everyone). idk how yet, but it could be cool
i might get back to the idea of the mikes having been in Tenna's court, but leaving for some reason. Tenna could have been Red Diamond, but got cleaved (or at least everyone thinks he did), and then took on another name and appearance. but he disappeared later on for some reason (idk the details yet)
which would then mean we'd need more diamond courts. i thought to make every chapter boss into a diamond, so we'd have Blue Diamond (or idk Indigo so we're not reusing an already existent character, King btw), Aqua Diamond (Queen), Red Diamond (Tenna), maybe Black Diamond?? (the Titan), and Gold Diamond (or maybe there's floral diamond or something, Flowery)
or the Titan(s) only appear as diamonds but they're actually obsidians or whatever (they don't seem like diamonds to me honestly), and they're the actual antagonists like they are in game
our main guys used to be in different courts, Jevil in King's, Spamton in Queen's, and the mikes in Tenna's. later on there's more recruits, also from different courts (like the flowers from Flowery's court, Lancer from King's, etc.)
speaking of Flowery, he will be the first (perhaps only?) gem to straight up shatter. maybe the crew can somehow heal or revive him but for now he's dead (until we get confirmation if he survived in chapter 6)
okay now back to the main three (or five) guys
i said Jevil could stay an amethyst, but he could also be a spinel runt. his weapon, of course, is his scythe, and his gem placement i'm not sure about yet, but i'm tending towards stomach for some reason. he's also gonna be the only gem without hair and with ears (Jevil without his pointy ears isn't Jevil honestly). but he can shape shift into his weapon (and other random things)
for Spamton i said angel aura quartz, but i also like him being a pearl (another runt), but then the body type wouldn't quite fit so idk. his weapon is a crossbow that attaches to his wrist and fires energy arrows (referencing his NEO arm cannon), it's also shaped a bit like the arm cannon. also he has a visor. not sure about gem placement but i thought of the wrist where the crossbow would then attach to. also he may have healing powers. i think it'd be funny if his gem was shaped like a pipis
for the mikes i got some more details
Battat, as mentioned, is a diopside. since he's small, he should have gotten limb enhancers (like peridot), but never got them. then when he finally would have gotten them later he was too stubborn to take them cause he wanted to show he can be as good as the others without them. he doesn't have a weapon, but weak healing powers at least. his gem is hexagonal like his head lol. he gets really nervous when he's apart from Jongler and Pluey for a long time, so he prefers staying fused
Jongler is a chrysocolla, and physically very strong and bulky. i decided to have them wear a dress that goes all the way to the bottom cause yes. their weapon is a lasso, and they're a big cowboy enthusiast. their gem is in their palm and triangular like the buttons on their chest. also they always have a visor
Pluey is a black and white cat's eye with their hair always covering their eyes. their weapons are clawed gauntlets that look like cat paws. he's mute and only communicates in gestures. the gem is on its chest and is like. oblong. there's no reason for that shape except i used to have a gem oc that was also a cat's eye and her gem looked like that lol
Mike mostly only appears like small mike since the other forms i sketched out looked too much like regular Pluey and Jongler, so i thought Mike could sometimes shift into the form of his components when he's bored. i tried to still combine elements from all three mikes while keeping the small mike look and it turned out pretty well for now (i might share the designs later if there's interest but i only have the mikes ready). anyway, i wanted to give him a microphone weapon at first but that wouldn't make much sense fusion wise, so his weapon is a flail, with the end shaped like a giant paw. maybe the lasso part can extend and retract so when retracted the whole thing kinda looks like a microphone? wait a minute i might be cooking here.........
for Tenna all i have is that he has a visor and it would be funny if his gem was placed where his belt buckle is (or maybe on his chest where the TV pin is that'd work too). nothing concrete about his powers yet but i think electricity would make sense
Queen has acid and/or electricity powers. her gem is on her chest like it is on her mecha
anyway that's all i have for now. feel free to share ideas or give criticism (tell me if it's straight up garbage i can handle it)
Deltarune Gemsonas
I finished watching Steven Universe and playing through all 4 chapters of Deltarune within the span of a couple weeks, so of course I had to make an AU about it!
(Many extra notes below the cut)
Spinel and with a reader who lacks tech skills? Someone who manages to screw up simple things, needs a lot of help troubleshooting, sometimes due to attempting things on their own instead of asking out of embarrassment.
Spinel x Reader with tech skills | Headcanons

Toodles and Twisted Toodles redesigned side by side! (beware the wall of text beneath the cut.)
I could go on for ages about twisted toodles because she’s very interesting to me! But I’m gonna refrain until I have all my thoughts together. So here’s just a general description of my version of her.
I find it interesting that Liko expressed a somewhat nuanced viewpoint towards Laquium when she, Roy, and Dot discussed it with Jacq. She acknowledged that in spite of being aware of all of its negative effects, she expressly points out how it seems to strengthen a Pokémon's life force and even talks about the connection to how its power seemed to turn Laqua into a Pokémon paradise. She seems to inherently, albeit subconsciously, acknowledge that despite everything there could in fact be potential positive value in it that could be applied constructively, which is why it warrants further investigation and research. The fact that it's her saying this and commenting on it, and not Dot, who is their group's resident intellectual, is really interesting.
It reminds me a little of how Hamber talked about it to Amethio, Zirc, and Onia. He said Laquium draws out the latent power of Pokemon, and should perhaps be thought of as a source of life. He also points out how Gibeon discovered it can extend a person's youth for an extended period of time depending on how it's applied (which is how he managed to stay alive for so long).
Even when Liko does point out the negative effects of the Strong Sphere to the Explorers the underlying theme seems to be not strictly "Laquium is bad" but rather how it's applied relative to their inherent skill as Trainers and the fundamentals.
Like on one hand with Coral and Sidian she was like "Why have you taken it this far?! Just look at your Pokémon! That way of battling is anything but normal! It's the Strong Spheres, isn't it?" and "We know you don't need to rely on those things!". It felt like she was almost trying to get through to them? She knows that they're naturally strong Trainers and fundamentally honest by nature. She's battled them and talked with them in casual settings and definitely knows their characters really well. She knows their honest and genuine strength, one where even though she doesn't know it outright, is strength that was earned through rigorous training under Hamber. Her words to them feel more like "You're better than this, come on".
And then on the other hand with Spinel's new personal subordinates Indy and Rubella she just bluntly told them "Even if you use Strong Spheres, you can never beat us!". Coral and Sidian are genuinely strong and competent, and capable of honest progress in strength, but these two on the other hand just plain suck and don't have the willingness to put in the effort to improve earnestly, and Liko seemed to catch onto that and bluntly pointed it out. Her sentiment to them was basically "Before you think of challenging us again, actually try to better yourselves".
She's well aware of the negative effects of Laquium, but doesn't seem to fully deny its potential? She's not as intellectually oriented as say, Dot, Friede, or Chalce, but seems to have particular thoughts on it. She's definitely opposed to the way it's currently being used, since it's used in a very unstable manner and in a way that harms Pokémon, but doesn't seem to fully align with the idea that it needs to be vanquished entirely. Which sort of aligns with how Jacq felt about it for that matter, since he actually finds it quite interesting (he also points out even Terastal hasn't been fully researched and there's still much to learn about the Terastal phenomenon). Clavell and Geeta have agreed to help out and trust the RVT, as has Jacq, but they need further information before deciding on what the right course of action with it is. It seems they'll be exchanging info about it along the way (now Chalce, you certainly have gathered some information about Laquium and probably know some things, do you? Got anything to share with the class, "Agate-sensei"? Mind talking with Liko and Dot personally about it? You three could benefit much from actually sharing info with each other).
I dunno, it's just a few comments from Liko specifically during their talk with Jacq about Laquium that stand out. The fact that she specifically brings up that there might be something else that could be done with it, even though she's not quite as intellectually oriented as Dot or Friede, is pretty interesting. She's Lucius's descendant and Lucius had a binary viewpoint of "Laquium must be vanquished entirely", but Liko is intent on cutting her own path forward and writing her own story, just like Amethio relative to Gibeon (Amethio even said he inherits Gibeon's will not as his grandson per se, but rather as a member of the Explorers). The fact that she's already implicitly showing differences in her potential views on Laquium from Lucius is something I think might be interesting in the long run.
