I can appreciate to a point of putting a different spin on the original Astro story but WOW what were they thinking. But on the other hand, the final movie was awfully bland aswell. Atleast this was trying something and I think a more horror leaning retelling could've been interesting...with better designs...

Something something Nancy finding Robin and seeing the similarities between her and Barb, and hopefully looking for a new best friend in Robin.

Something something Robin being jealous of Nancy after Barb left her behind to become the aforementioned's friend, and resenting Nancy for that, on top of just being the popular prissy girl at Hawkins high.

Something something Robin looking at the first nice redhead girl she sees (Vickie) and immediately falling for her and her energy, not realizing it's the same energy from her childhood best friend.

Something something Robin going to Nancy, who Barb replaced her with, to be as close as she can to Barb again.
