We’re absolutely delighted to find out that Toronto-based alt-indie trio The Man Who has signed to Virgin Records after having been a fan of their sooty, gritty music since they made their debut a couple years back. They now make their major label debut with new single Natural Villain, bringing their bristling flurry of prowling pop and marching rock in spades on the song. A sense of foreboding pervades the track, which showcases the hypnotic contrast at the heart of their music, an infinite tension between bright and dark, raw vulnerability and quiet, ready to pounce mystique. As before, we can’t help but be drawn to a The Neighbourhood meets Sir Sly-like timbre in The Man Who’s latest. And we’re more than ready to dive deep into a brand new chapter of this band’s music, of which we’re guessing Natural Villain might be kicking off. Stream/download the song, here.
