Ok so I think I have more to say about ATLA since this movie leak has gotten me to catchup on what’s been happening in the fandom.

1. Changing who Katara ended up with will not fix the flaws you perceive from her. I need some of y’all to be more honest in your arguments.

2. The movie was Aang focused and didn’t delve too much on the rest of the GAANG because it’s literally (and i cannot stress this shit enough) called “THE LEGEND OF AANG”. You can argue it felt like filler. You can argue it was moreso visual based. You can argue it’s underdeveloped but PLEASEFORTHELOVEOFGOD pay attention. I would like to think that if this movie had done well we would’ve gotten the green light more sequels on the rest of the GAANG.

3. I think shipping wars and the art style and the GAANG be hot has distracted us from the fact that someone leaked what had been one of the most anticipated pieces of ATLA content in the last decade. That’s fucked up and reads as sabotage to me.

4. Katanga wasn’t overdone or “in your face” to compensate for anything that’s just how two adults who love each other act 😭. Like it wasn’t a slap in the face to nobody they’re just grown now.

Avatar Legend of Aang x reader idea- time travel edition

Tagah had just stepped out of the tent after waking, ready to find Sonam's staff, and fo whatever it takes to bring back Airbenders. His thoughts are interrupted by someone in the sky screaming. In the clouds is a rip he can only assume is a portal to another world, and from it a person dressed in white and orange (or whatever Air Nomad fashion inspired fit you want) is falling.

One moment you were exploring a historical air temple (or lab studying time and space), any now falling from the sky. A powerful gust of air cushions your landing into strong arms. Holding you was an Airbender whose markings matched very ancient history, but the other people coming forward had fashion of a completely different historical era.

"(Pronouns) an Airbender?" The younger Air Nomad questions, and the beefy one holds you tighter like there's still a threat. Its enough for you to realize you're in the era shortly after the Hundred Year war.

(Like in modern day were fashion is more universal rather than very distinct to every culture, the nations fashion slowly lost having distinct colors to signify heritage. While accents may still include hints of heritage [color, style, pattern, symbols], a firebender could normally end up wearing white and orange or green and black. So it would be funny if everyone assumed Airbending and now it just feels easier to claim you're a non-bender than go through the awkwardness/embarrassment or correcting that you're an earth/fire/water bender)

Katara claims Sokka is so unfunny but you could disagree greatly, which you wouldn't want to do right now with the ways Sokka's getting scolded by his sister. He had made some stupid joke again and here he is.

It was a funny thing to witness honestly, mainly because your boyfriend keeps making funny faces to get you to crack and laugh. You hold it in cause you don't want to get scolded by your best friend, you'd rather leave him to be alone with whatever Katara's trying to get through that thick skull of his. So you simply stick your tongue in a mocking way and the face you receive is hilarious, he looks so offended.

Sokka? sokka!? Are you even paying attention to what I'm saying?

Oop, caught red handed... again? Expect now you've also been caught in the act of distracting the scolded. It isn't even your fault. But at the end of the day, you end up being scolded about spirits knows what...

I hope you recognized by the characters but in case you aven't this AU is essentially a mashup of TADC and ATLA.

So here you have Pomni as Aang, Ragatha as Katara (though I might revisit her design, as I’m not entirely happy with this one) and Jax as Sokka. The designs of Caine as Zuko and Kinger as Iroh are here

I already have kind of a context for the story and a design for each character (even if I still have to draw them cause they currently only exist in my head haha) so if you have any questions about the universe, my ask box is open (plus that could also help me develop the story :)

I just think it’s funny n a little neat that in every gaang fanart where they’re hanging out together especially cuddling in some way , zuko is the centre. Everyone is touching him somehow. Loving on him. Smiling at him. Connected to each other through him.No matter how divided we are, that is consistent- Zuko was the missing piece and everyone wants him
