Do you think when the Invincibles realize that reader is human, and thus has a way shorter life span than them, they do everything they can to try and make him immortal?
Oh yeah, there is no question they'd do this. I think it hits them like a truck just how mortal and weak the reader really is when they start noticing wrinkles, or you start grumbling about your back, sight, hearing, or other parts of what happens when you get old.
They've been so good and obedient (kinda... Sometimes...) for so long, but you bet they're gonna return to their old ways to find a way to make you live as long as them, even if you don't want to be immortal.
They're sure you'll thank them later, because why would you want to leave them behind? You love them like they love you, right? So that means you wanna be with them forever. Don't you understand that they CANT live without you?
I think a few of them would act sorry, one of those "I just can't lose you, please, you're all I have" situations, some might even cry depending on what they have to do to make you immortal, but they all want it.
It's a situation where they'd rather ask for forgiveness instead of permission. Sure, you might be mad at them for a long time, but now you guys have eternity together, so you'll forgive them at some point, right? Even better if you become as strong as them or stronger, this means you can finally manhandle them like some (all honestly) have always wanted.
