History: Audrey was born to working class parents. When she was old enough, they pushed her into joining service at a wealthy household. Being from a lower class, and limited education, she started as a simple scullery maid and worked her way up to a proper house maid due to her hard work, polite manner, and pretty face. In the employ of her wealthy boss, she learned that the gentlemanly manners of the rich men were just a facade, and she switched households several times as the men, or their adult sons, tried to take advantage of her. Not wanting to get by on promiscuity, she turned them all down and changed employers instead. But as she left each household, she found it harder to get another job.
Eventually she was hired by someone who would not take no for an answer. But he wasn’t just any man with an eye for a pretty young woman: he was something much darker. When she refused his normal advances, and asked the housekeeper for a reference, he abducted her instead and took her to another location. He told people she had gone to seek other employment and did not know where she was. While holding her captive, he kept her bound and subdued for quite some time, playing with her emotions and drinking her blood. By the time he was finished with her, he decided to make her a vampire like him.
Audrey stayed with her creator only long enough to learn what she needed to know from him. Then she told him to leave London or she would expose them both. Amused by her backbone and audacity, he agreed, leaving her with a small sum of money and a deed to the place he had imprisoned her in. He left London, and she never saw him again. Audrey kept herself alive by thievery and deception, generally preferring to feed upon the duplicitous males that pretended to be gentlemen, but occasionally seeking blood from other types of people to stave off monotony. She had been doing this for fifty years before falling into the Rabbit Hole.

Personalty: Audrey is a predator and sees herself as one. But, as most predators in nature, she is a need-based hunter. She dismisses hunting for sport as a ‘human’ affliction, and while she does enjoy the hunt, she has no desire to kill unless it self-defense, or to preserve her secret, which she sees as ‘preemptive’ self defense. While she doesn’t believe herself to be a good person, by any stretch of the word, she does consider herself principled. She is quick to lie, but slow to break a promise. She also believes in focusing her unnatural hunger on those who are more ‘worthy’ to die as opposed to the young or innocent. That being said, she will not put such people before herself if it stands between her and self preservation. Ultimately she is a selfish creature that wishes to stay alive, despite approaching an age where she would have died a natural death already if she would have been left fully mortal.
Audrey does not see herself as better than humans, simply different, though she does believe she is more powerful than humans. She would never admit it out loud, but she does wish she had been left to live a mortal life, seeing that as the more moral option. But, she also refuses to hold herself down because of the change, and does not indulge in the ‘tormented soul’ ideation that some vampires do. Generally she relies on deception more than brute force to make her way in the world, but she will resort to violence when it is necessary or efficient. She is capable of kindness and compassion when not pressed to be otherwise, and has great respect for humans that choose a moral path and stick to it.
Even though she is a predator, Audrey hates bullies with a passion, especially people who think they can get whatever they want because of their station in life, or take advantage of those beneath them, or those who can’t fight back. This makes her more naturally disposed towards the Black Army rather than the Red Army. She’s also very wary of men that use an excess of charm, mostly because that was the type of men that tried to victimize her in the past, and she’s often very quick to assert herself over such men.
She hates being called ‘Alice’.
