“Whoa!” Ash said, shading his eyes and looking up. “That’s-”
“The Sword of the Vale!” Iris gasped. “It must be – there’s nothing else it could be, right? It even looks like the stories say!”
“I’m surprised you know the old stories,” Juanita admitted. “It’s… one of those things that seems like such an old story, I’m always surprised when someone from outside Eindoak Town knows about it at all.”
“Of course I know about it!” Iris defended herself. “I’m a Dragon specialist!”
She coughed, nervously. “...in training. Once I’ve got enough dragons I’ll be a proper Dragon specialist, though!”
My Pokémon notebook, which I use to plan out timelines, write out details for my characters (Pokémon teams, backstory notes, etc.), and plan out battles sometimes.
This page is celebrating how I finished this particular fanfic, Bound to the Dragon’s Heart, along with notes and fortune cookie slips that motivated me to finish. :]
Notes say:
- started writing: June/July 2003?? (Also note that the U.S. release of Pokémon Heroes, the 5th movie (which I did see in theaters, lol), came out in May 2003, so I got to work on this fanfic very soon after that!)
- finished: April 2026!
- originally posted online: July 11, 2003
- finished posting: (not finished yet!)
The fortune cookies say:
- You will achieve your goals.
- A creative project will flourish this Wednesday.
Sticky note blacked out because potential spoilers for future chapters!
The story is still in the process of being uploaded, but I’m so happy I got to give these characters the story I always imagined for them. <3
Filled in the space with some sketches of the main characters—Ash (slightly older I guess!), Pikachu, and Latias! Haven’t drawn in probably 1-2 years, so it was fun to try again after so long. ^^

Bound to the Dragon's Heart
Fanfic I've literally been working on for 20+ years
After so many delays and a complete rewrite, I finally finished a fanfic very near and dear to my heart~ First two chapters of Bound to the Dragon’s Heart, a Pokémon fanfiction, are up on AO3!
Brief summary: An Altoshipping (Ash/Latias) fic inspired by the original anime, where the two have a special destiny with one another, but really just want to be together cause they like each other. <3 But when criminals like Team Rocket threaten to tear them apart, can their bond endure?
A really sweet story, even with all the shenanigans I put everyone through. There's lots of exciting Pokémon battles, character drama, and sweet moments, and I tried my best to pay homage to the anime when writing it. I hope it’s cute and exciting and fun!
Planning to do weekly updates, so please comment, share, and keep coming back for the next chapters! <3

“Partner Pokémon” is what Latias is to Ash; Pikachu is his STARTER.
And, now, the Bulb is trying to gaslight me into thinking “starter” was only ever a fan-term. UM, NO, IT FUCKING WASN’T.
"Can I say 'you make my heart soar,' or is that too corny?"
I'm really weak for Altoshipping, okay.
