A/N: Welcome to Fallen Star, my summer writing project, updates on Thursdays. This is the first writing I’m posting to Tumblr from my wattpad account, so I hope you all enjoy! (Also, I usually don’t proofread, so please ignore any mistakes made.)
Third Person POV
Mark walked along the sidewalk, gripping Chica's leash as she trotted beside him. He swiped at his hair with his hand, running his fingers through the dark brown(ish) locks. The Los Angeles heat beat down on him, and he sighed, slipping his phone into his pocket and glancing at the smoothie shop across the street. He could really use a cold beverage at the moment, but he wasn't sure he had enough money left in his wallet to buy even a small sized smoothie.
Chica let out a small bark, nuzzling the American youtuber's hand, and Mark let out a small laugh, petting the golden dog's head. The street was empty, and he could spot his apartment, his cream colored curtains shut, blocking the view to his bedroom.
"Almost home Chica-Bica," Mark said in his baby voice, looking down at his dog and giving her a quick kiss on the head before setting into a jog. Sweat was running down his back, making his shirt stick to his skin, and he was relieved when he stepped inside his apartment and felt cool air blast him.
"Finally!" Mark groaned, kicking off his shoes and removing his socks, sighing in pleasure when his feet made contact with his cool wood floor. "I will never get sick of coming home to this." He detached Chica's leash, letting his little doggo head off into the other room, presumably to lay down on her bed and rest. Mark made his way to the kitchen, snatching his forgotten water bottle from the fridge and gulping half of it down in one go.
He looked out his window, spotting some people lounging in the pool. Mark recognized one of his best friends, Tyler, the brown curly haired man having sat himself in the corner of the pool, resting his arms on the edges, talking happily with Ethan. Ethan ran a hand through his wet electric blue hair, glancing up and spotting Mark watching the two. He waved, and earned himself a wave back, before Mark disappeared from the blue boy's sight.
Mark switched on the TV, relaxing his body across his small beige couch. He had already put up videos, so he had nothing to worry about, or at least that's what he thought.

Felix hovered above, staring down at the beautiful planet Earth. He wished he could go down there sometimes, it can become lonely up here, in the sky, in the vast silence of space. There were rumors of stars, that got to fall, that got to see the world, to meet humans, and to fall in love with them. Sure, it may sound cheesy, but most days Felix oh so hopes he gets to fall from the sky, to meet a human, to fall in love with them, and live a nice, calm life with them.
But very few stars have fallen in the last thousand years, for Felix did not know of the greed in some humans, how they craved to use the beauty within stars for themselves. Even if Felix was told of what would happen if he fell, he would still believe there would be humans kind enough to love someone like him.
'He still hopes to fall.' One of the star gods said to another, a small frown on their face.
'If he wants to fall so bad, let him fall, let him deal with the problems of humanity on his own, then come to us and beg for forgiveness.' The other sneered, holding out a hand. The first did not want to, but how could he continue to deny the hopes of this one star who would never stop until he got his wish. They sighed and connected hands with the second, and a flash of light ensued, Felix's yell of surprise being the last thing they heard.

Light streaked through the sky, and Mark squinted, attempting to cover his eyes with the mail he held in his hands. There was a bang, and a scream, sending his feet running towards the smoke trail. He did not care that he had dropped his mail on the ground, or the fact that he wasn't wearing shoes, or that his phone wasn't with him. Mark was one selfless bastard, that was for sure.
His feet slapped on the pavement, the night sky keeping him from being seen by his neighbors. If it had been any other time of day, they would've looked at him like he was crazy. In all truth, he probably was. That scream could've been his imagination, that smoke could be from a late night campfire, but there were no buildings over there.
His heels and toes were on fire by the time he reached the giant crater, and his lungs burned. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath, holding a hand over his chest and bending himself downward. Mark didn't think he'd have to run that far.
Once he finally caught his breath, he observed the giant hole with eyes as wide as saucers. The hole had to be at least 4 feet deep, and right in the center, lay a beautiful, stunning, GORGEOUS dirty blonde man. Mark quickly stumbled down into the hole, pressing two fingers to the man's neck, sighing in relief when he felt a steady pulse.
"Hey, hey wake up," Mark murmured, and the man groaned, keeping his eyes shut. Mark huffed, deciding to take a moment and really look at the man under him. He looked to be around 26 years old, with a light blonde stubble coating his chin and lower cheeks, a small mustache forming as well. His dirty blonde hair wasn't very long, but it was for sure messy. He had pale skin and plump lips, a few freckles decorating his cheeks.
He had on a gray t-shirt, with some black jeans torn at the knees, blood seeping off the exposed skin, and he happened to be barefoot as well. Mark knew he couldn't just leave the man here, someone would take him and not be kind.
"Hey, come on, wake up," Mark lightly shook his shoulder, and the dirty blonde finally opened his eyes, and Mark was paralyzed for a second from how blue they were. He snapped out of it quickly, noticing the dull golden glow surrounding the other.
"Hello?" The other's voice was hoarse, and a Swedish accent accompanied it. Mark took a breath, ignoring the way his heart beat faster and butterflies swarmed his stomach at the sound of the smaller's voice.
"Hi, I'm Mark, what are you doing here?" Mark didn't mean to be nosy, but he was curious how someone so beautiful could be in this giant pit.
"I-I'm Felix, I fell here. I'm a fallen star, you see?" Felix gestured to the glow around his body, internally marveling at the feeling of having hands and legs, much like the humans he has seen. Mark furrowed his brows. He had only heard of fallen stars in stories, and had been convinced they were fake. But now that he got a good look at Felix, he remembered all the descriptions given, and his mouth went slack.
"I need to take you to my house then, get you patched up," Mark gestured to Felix's bloody legs, and the so-called swede looked at them, frowning when he actually felt pain moving his body. All these feelings were new to him, including the butterflies in his stomach when he had seen Mark looking down at him.
Felix yelped when he felt his body being lifted off the ground, and a warmth pressed into his side. He found himself unintentionally snuggling into that warmth, wrapping his arms around Mark's neck. He (thankfully) didn't notice the blush that took over Mark's face as he began walking.
