Last Christmas I received an Amazon Echo Dot. Not finding a compelling use I stuck it unloved and unopened in the junk drawer,where it sits today. An unintended Luddite, I do not subscribe to a music service, have not yet found light switches onerous, and my thirty year old programmable thermostat has never skipped a beat. Amazon would have shut down years ago if waiting for my call. Siri or her Microsoft or Google sisters? Never. My brass key works without internet or power. So my question to you is this: is there a truly killer real world Echo Dot app or is this a solution looking for a problem?
