If you could write a concept album what would it be about

OH FUCK this is such a good question??? GOD i've never even thought about this before (which when i think about it honestly surprises me lmfao).

hmm. concept albums are so exciting to me bc like, in every creative medium i always look to tell a story, and an album as a cohesive work that serves not only as something that sounds good but also as something that ebbs and flows as a singular body in motion just really floods my motor. any one song is a story within itself, so an entire album of songs as segments of a larger story is astounding to me lmfao. and the story can be anything!!! it can be something internal that the author(s) struggle with (like pink floyd's the wall), or it can be something contrived or fictional (arctic monkey's tranquility base hotel and casino), and it can be really abstract or it can spell it all out for you in twenty-foot-tall letters. all of which is why it's hard for me to pin down a subject, if i were to make a concept album.

if i were to do it though? i think i would work with the term "nuclear." maybe war and the apocalypse. i'd probably start on a worldwide scale (the general panic/anger/determination/etc of world leaders/the population at large) and then narrow it down to an individual level (the hurt/depression/division it brings on the smaller parts of the larger machine) and then end it with the final big bang. musically, i think the album would start off high-energy (think "!!breaking news!!") and then slow down some and get more dramatic/intense as it focuses on the individuals instead of the general population and national figureheads, and finally i'd finish it with something short and sweet and very slow.

I’m doing anything I can to express myself, intertwining my body with the closest person, wanting them to feel this energy for themselves. I am first place in a game no one else is playing, first place is also last, I may be winning but that can only last for so long. Waiting for me at the finish line could be a gold medal or an empty casket.
