unpopular opinion: if a fan doesn't like snape, it would make more sense for them to also dislike regulus, as both only joined the 'good' side out of personal interest.

I understand if somebody just prefers Regulus in a story sense. I think Regulus is easy to like because we don't know too many details on how prejudice he was and he already has a few "tropes" (for lack of better term) that people can easily hold onto. Like him being Sirius' younger brother for example.

But on a morals stance i 100% think it's unfair to criticise Snape but praise Regulus. They both joined the Death Eaters willingly and both turned their backs on the case for personal reasons, rather then a change in morals.

Overall I think it boils down to the fact that Regulus was attractive, a star quidditch player, rich, and the younger brother of an already loved character, making him a lot easier to like compared to the poor, unattractive, more complex Snape.

What is your favorite prank idea the marauders did during their time at hogwarts?

HELLO!!!

here's my thing, i am terrible at coming up with prank ideas. I literally have a WIP where The Marauders and The Blackbirds have a prank war and i'm yet to actually get to any of the pranks because Im just so bad at coming up with them without them sounding completely lame

all this to say, none of these ideas are mine

I do love the clock prank from all the young dudes, that's a top tier one

then there's my favourite Marauders fic of all time The Marauders series by Pengiwen which has some great ones, like the one where they turned the entire school blue, made everyone fall in love with Dumbledore, put polyjuice into the breakfast and made everyone in Hogwarts turn into one of them

those are the ones that stand out to me. Hopfully one day I can finish what is supposed to be a quick and fun fic by using my brain and coming up with one myself😭

hii, i'm sending an as because of your prompt, the very last one "who do you think hated each other". My take is that Remus would hate Peter's morals around cheating in school. Things like copying essays, having cheat sheets at an exam, having someone do his homework etc. Remus who had to work hard for his grades couldn't help but look down on Peter and also be frustrated when his results acquired by cheating were the same/better as Remus'. I think school results as a whole could've been a source of tension in the marauders group.

Peter being a cheater is so real. I can really see him, especially being friends with James, Sirius and Remus, feeling like he has to be getting good grades to keep up with his friends and feels like cheating is the only way when he's really struggling.

And you're so right Remus would hateee that. Not only does Remus have to study hard and put so much effort into his work but he also knows that god forbid if he ever cheated and got caught he would be done for.

I always find the envy they Remus must feel for feeling like he has to do things the hard way and has to be a thousand times better then everyone else because he has to earn his education rather then just having a right to it so interesting yet so untapped in the fandom

(my Wilkes is Juliette Wilkes and she's THE Wilkes who was friends with Snape, Mulciber and Avery and joined the Death Eaters and was killed by aurors)

Pandora being from a death eater family (mainly the Rosier twins. Nobody hates Pandora Rosier more then me)

Pandora being a seer (Sybill is RIGHT THERE)

Anything that includes Regulus and Evan being forced into the death eaters, or joining to protect their siblings, or secretly being spy's for the Order or trying to get into the Order

Barty Crouch Sr being anything worse then neglectful that somehow justifys what Barty Jr did

Emmeline Vance having ANYTHING to do with the Slytherins (where tf did the hc that she was friends with Evan come from😭)

I love Dorcas' inclusion in the Slytherin Skittles but I do have differing opinions on exactly her opinion of Evan, Barty and Regulus after they joined the death eaters and how their friendship fell apart

I JUST SAW UR POST ABT WANTING ASKS AND THE SCANDALS ONE IS TOO GOOD! i think the cheating love triangles and nudes would’ve been insane 😭 are there characters u think def would’ve been main discussion?

For me the main scandal that happened at Hogwarts was between Septima Vector, Aurora Sinistra, Emma Vanity, Florence Greengrass and Bertha Jorkins.

I hc these girls to be two years above the Marauders and the IT friendship group at the time (i call them the famous five) Aurora and Florence used to date but during the summer before their seventh year Florence started cheating on Aurora with Killian Gibbon. During the school year Bertha sees this and tells Aurora. To get back at Florence, Aurora then cheats on her with Septima (who had just broken up with her boyfriend)

This entire things blows out of proportion once everything gets exposed and the girls go from living each other to hating each other in five seconds. They're yelling at each other during class, constantly talking shit behind each others backs, glaring daggers whenever one of them passes the other and nobody in Hogwarts knows why they now hate each other so much (but there are many rumours)

Second to them in scandal is Amos Diggory and Wren O'Brian, who i hc to be in the same year as the Marauders and therefore they become teen parents (i ended up hc Amos to be WAY younger then he's supposed to be but i got attached so now he and Wren have Cedric at the beginning of their seventh year)

They tried to keep it as private as possible but word got out pretty easily. Cedric was born in late October 1977 and during their last year at Hogwarts, Amos and Wren stayed in a flat in Hogsmead. They were allowed to go back and forth as much as they pleased and while in lessons their parents would take care of their son.

As for nudes leaking, I'm sure many did (as a Brit, nudes leaking during secondary school was just way too common) I don't know all the names, but I know two of them would've been Doris Purkiss and another Bertram Audrey (Doris sent them to her boyfriend at the time who showed his friends them and Bertram sent his to a random girl after his breakup with Camelia Solis, the photos got sent round and the mystery of who they belonged to was never fully resolved)

Lily and James obviously they are my children, they are the goat, and they are way too underrated in this fandom

I love me some Lily and Pandora but mostly in aus. I don't see them getting along in cannon

Lily and Emmeline having a summer fling sometime in their mid Hogwarts year is something i've always wanted to explore more

Lily and Mary are my babies i definitely love them in aus but idk how i feel about them in cannon
