Ooooh. It looks amazing. (And may now be moving towards the top of my to-do list...)
Go! We flew on WOW Air (Icecland’s discount airline) direct from Boston for a pretty reasonable rate, having only booked about six weeks in advance, and I know Icelandair has itineraries where you get a stopover via Reykjavik en route to wherever else you’re going in Europe.
Five days was plenty to really feel like we “did” the country, although obviously if we’d had more time we could’ve done much more. (It’s a small island, and the middle part is all uninhabited highlands, so the usual version of traveling to Iceland is driving to/from Reyjavik around the coast.) And it was a nice coupley trip, too, given that a fair amount of it was just the two of us driving around rural roads or walking up tall things—a good complement to our trip through the American Southwest back in January, actually.

AWW I'M SO GLAD YOU AHD A GOOD TIME also the icelandic names, WOW you got those right with the weird os and all the accent you're magic
I just copy/pasted most of them, admittedly, although I did learn how to type most of the wacky Nordic characters (å, æ, ø, ö) while in Denmark.
The problem here is that the letter eth or ð (uppercase version is Ð) doesn’t appear to exist on American English keyboards. According to Wikipedia, it’s only used today in Icelandic and Faroese (spoken in the Faroe Islands, which is part of Denmark), so I suppose there’s not much of a need for it.
