Anaspect and Subterm Flags
[pt: Anaspect and Subterm Flags]
So we figured out a while back that the term “introject” didn’t vibe with us. We started using introversal instead, but it’s not a perfect fit, since not all of the affected headmates are from another timeline. But then…we found the term “anaspect”. It resonates with us a lot. We’re a gateway collective and sometimes guys just…walk in. They’re not introjects because they weren’t formed from within the bounds of our headspace; and while introtive is closer, it doesn’t fit for the same reason. “Source” is just uncomfy when applied to us in general. So, anaspect it is!
One problem: there are no flags (that we could find)! In fact, there’s basically nothing outside of Pluralpedia. Unfortunate.
Of course, we didn’t coin anaspect nor any of the other terms featured here. Coining credits can be found in the Pluralpedia links (seen in the “from Pluralpedia” text in the definition sections.)
Anaspect
[alt text: a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-bottom: magenta, light magenta, green-cyan, light cyan, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half), light cyan, cyan, mid-light cyan, blue-magenta. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]
Definition (from Pluralpedia): “Anaspect is an umbrella term for soulbond, spiritual, gateway, or any other aspect of non-medical plural origin to replace the word introject as an identifier for headmates/alters…Meaning said headmate is alike to perhaps a fictional/real person but isn't introjected to the brain medically and instead comes from another location/universe.”
This flag was inspired by localhazard’s introject flag and the other specified flags* (see below for details).
Charabond / Factbond
[alt text (left): a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-middle: magenta, light magenta, blue-magenta, mid-light cyan, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half); the flag is mirrored across the center stripe. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]

Charabond Definition (from Pluralpedia): “Charabond a term…meaning a headmate looks like a character from fictional media or may have a fictional counterpart, but they are not medically introjected and come from another location/universe than this one. Charabond can also replace the term 'fictional counterpart' for ease of typing and explanation.”
The charabond flag was inspired by localhazard’s fictive flag and the other specified flags* (see above).
Factbond Definition (from Pluralpedia): “Factbond is a term that replaces the term factive and is under the umbrella term anaspect…they are alike a factual person but still spiritual in their origin…Factbond headmates are anaspected from a person whom exists in this universe.”
The factbond was made by combining localhazard’s factive flag and the other specified flags* (see below for details).
Auxbond (Fucktive/Faitive) / Auxbond (Fogtive) / Auxbond (Fuzztive)
[alt text (left): a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-middle: magenta, light blue-magenta, magenta, mid-light cyan-blue, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half); the flag is mirrored across the center stripe. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]
[alt text (middle): a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-middle: mid-light cyan, light cyan, blue-magenta, mid-light blue, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half); the flag is mirrored across the center stripe. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]

Definition (from Pluralpedia): “Auxbond is a term similar to fucktive/fogtive and under the umbrella term anaspect... It is meant to be a blended term of Charabond and Factbond, but can also just be used as a standalone headmate modifier.”
The first flag was made by combining our charabond and factbond flags. The second and third flags were made by combining quoipunk’s fogtive and fuzztive flags with the other specified flags* (see below for details).
Repbond (version 1) / Repbond (version 2)
[alt text (left): a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-middle: magenta, lighter magenta, dark magenta, mid-dark magenta, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half), more purple mid-dark magenta, dark magenta, blue-magenta, slightly-dark blue-magenta. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]
[alt text (right): a rectangular flag with 9 stripes, alternating in width between thick and thin; the colors are, top-to-middle: mid-light orange, light brown, blue-magenta, mid-dark cyan, black (left half) and dark blue-gray (right half), mid-dark cyan, blue-magenta, cyan, darker cyan. there is a large circle centered in the middle with the colors of the center stripe; there is a light-gray venn diagram in the center end alt text]
Definition (from Pluralpedia): “A repbond is a headmate anaspected from an 'OC' (Original Character) somebody has made, whether sourced from media or simply created on their own.”
The first flag was made by combining the-silent-fellowship’s OCtive flag and the other specified flags* (see below for details). The second flag was made by combining neopronouns’ OCtive flag and the other specified flags* (see below for details).
Flag Notes:
The flag format we used is based on the introject flag—they are meant to be similar to show how anaspection is like introjection, but is not the same. The Venn diagram represents the “analogous” and “having qualities in common” parts(basically meaning similar but different) of anaspect’s etymology. The Venn diagram and the circle it’s on top of looks like an eye, which is also mentioned in the Pluralpedia article.
*All of these flags were made by overlaying the colors from the specified flag with the colors from Grey Skies’ spirigenic/metagenic flag, phoenigenic’s aethergenic flag, and vesiamor’s soulbonding flag.
Ask game!!
🌱🌻🌴🌲🌺 /nf!
hello! And thank you kindly for the ask! :]
🌱 "When did you discover you were plural"
Plurality wasn’t discovered so much as it was lived first. When the vessel was young, people came and went frequently, with different preferences and behaviors, and recognized each other even without language for it. About 20 years ago, someone using the vessel realized that other people don’t actually experience sharing a body with multiple people, and that this wasn’t universal. Then sometime In 2010-11, someone stumbled upon the word plurality, which gave language to something that had already been true for a long time.
🌻"if you can communicate internally, what is that like? If you can't communicate internally, do you have other methods for communicating with each other"
While here, there is a small way that Socii are able to communicate with people back at the Hub, however, it's not an internal experience like one might expect and the most accurate analogy or comparison I could make would be to say it's like having an Interdimesional Bluetooth earpiece at the very end of its reach so things don't always come out clear or easily understandable. Otherwise, we have a calendar for important dates and events that need to be remembered or "To Be Done By" visual reminders, a notebook for finance notes and budgeting as well as To-Do Lists and requests for improvement of the Apartment Living space, and journals to help record important Socii things and for daily upkeep and information.
🌴"Is there anything that you do to spend time together?**
Spending time together on this plane through the vessels can be tricky, but a little easier thanks to having two to use. Even so, single occupancy means it can feel like we’re light-years apart, connected only by a portal and our Interdimensional Bluetooth. If groups want to hang out, they'd have to swap who’s occupying the vessel, which can be tiring, but it’s doable. That being said, these days it's quite common for some folk to stop by the Portal or to hang around off and on; especially if they know the person here. There's also the case of individuals who require a lot of support, or otherwise aren't able to do a highly specific task they have no skill or confidence in, and for whatever reason aren't able to get it from their travel companion, in which case they'll usually have someone "On Call" for said task to help out if they don't know someone personally to help them.
Popular activities for groups, when Socii can manage it, include going to the arcade and sharing drinks, or playing games like Mario Party, Mario Kart, and other multiplayer favorites. Its kind of like voice calling or body doubling long distance save for your Travel Companion. For the two staying here, common favorite bonding activities are cafe dates, window shopping, hiking, and body doubling with games or hobbies.
🌲"What kinds of relationships (familial, romantic, platonic, etc) exist between members of the Vesselite?"
Just about every kind of relationship you can think of has existed among Socii over the years; familial, romantic, platonic, and everything in between. It’s hard to answer more specifically because so many different people have passed through the vessel over time, each with their own dynamics and connections. If you're curious about any types in specific, or a specific person or folk who've visited a lot over the years, etc. I could write about those.
Since she'll probably never say it herself, I'll say it for her.
Arlecchino absolutely HATES it when anyone sees her name and instantly says "oh I just Love Butch Lesbians! :D" in regards to her.
Because
She isn't butch nor a lesbian and absolutely does not identify with any sexuality as she is an interdimensional energy being and the literal embodiment of a Harbinger of Change. She doesn't even have human genitals.
It would be nice if people would not make assumptions about others, and especially personal things such as gender and sexuality, based off things like a familiar name. Just because you recognize someone's name doesn't mean you should assume you know things about them.
