Day 5 Sad day with Flow Design
Day 5 Sad day and last day of Externship. Sadly, Friday was a touching day. It feels like the week went too fast, but the great thing is that Flow Design did their best to teach Baily and I lots of architectural things. Things we did not know or learn before. We learned about Revit, we learned about zoning before designing something first, and how the team has to meet with the city and let them know about it, and so forth.
Even though, the week went too fast for us, I enjoyed it and feel like I was part of something. I did not feel or get judged for not knowing things that I didn't get the chance to learn before. I felt like I could be myself around Flow Design. In some places, you would get judged for not knowing something, for trying your best, and for being yourself. That is one of my pet peeves. If I applied at a place, I am applying because I am seeking more experience. How can I provide you the experience that you are seeking from me or others, and you are not willing to accept and allow us to learn or get these experiences from you? How can I get the experience? Please tell me. What sense does that make? Experience doesn't just come like that. We learn and gain experience from each other. Without earning it or learning it from each other. Again, how can I provide my experience to you? . Remember, the Lord Jesus says, " Help One another." "Love one another." " Judge yourself first before judging others." I thank the Lord for Flow Design, they make you feel comfortable and welcome, and make you feel like you are part of a family. This is the first firm that I experienced and I saw so much patience. They are patiently willing to show someone else. They know that there are no perfections in this world, but there you are trying your best. I faithfully pray to God that this firm grows more.
Flow Design, again I do not know how to thank you for all the help you provided to us. I thank you for welcoming me and Baily to the firm and experiencing a week of Externship with you all. You put your time aside to tour Baily and I around faithfully, you made us comfortable and made us feel like ourselves in the firm. I am not saying these things just to say them. I am saying faithfully deep inside my heart that Flow Design Firm is amazing, great, and awesome. I wish, there was more time to get to know all of you more and more. Once again, thank you so much, Marcos, Darguin, and the Flow Design crew for helping us shadow you. Keep doing what you do. Never give up. Keep striving with the Lord Jesus.
Day 4 Construction site
Day 4 construction site. Going and visiting one of the construction sites and being in the environment inspire me the most. because there are some things I learned that I never knew before. These things that I learned today about before constructing a design in real life at a location and city. had opened my eyes. Flow Design has shown me many things. Things that I was struggling to learn or find people to teach me, Flow Design has shown me these things in the most simple ways. They will take their time and make sure you really understand the rules of Architect or being an Architect. I do not know how to thank Flow Design enough, thank you, thank you for real, for showing me these great things. With what I learned from Flow Design, man I feel like I am ready for studio class this semester, just to try out my Revit ideas that I learned from this firm.
Can I get a T-shirt that says #Flow Design Rock... or Awesome? Somebody... Also, I really need to have a conference with Tumblr man. Where are the emojis at...????...
Measurements Quick sketch
Day 3 at Flow Design. Did a little quick sketch from what I can remember on top of my head of what one of the Flow Design and I did for measurements that went to measure. It's not perfect, but that is what I can remember how the drawings look like. Overall, Day 3 went great, I learned so much about measurements, how to work with clients, and all. great things. Please, don't judge the drawing lol, I had to quickly sketch it before I forgot more things about what we did for measurement today.
Day 4... I'm coming for you...
DAY 2.
Today, we got to learn more about Revit, I learned many new things in this software until my brain hurt. I never knew that this software had these cool things. I mean, I am a Rhino guy. I love Rhino because of the crazy curves it can do in models, but from what I experience in Revit, I think I might ask Rhino for a divorce. This software is insanely cool. But overall great experience, looking forward to Day 3......Sorry, not that pumped today because I think my brain crashed from Revit. Actually, I am kinda low key pumped for Day 3.....But Flow Design is still awesome. Guys go follow the Flow Design Youtube Channel page, there are great videos about Revit; Darguin will guide you to every step of the software. Also, make sure your brain doesn't crash too.
Anchise's Day 1 Flow Design
Day 1 at Flow Design. Meet the crew guys... Had a great time and learned so much on the first day. Excited and pumped to start Day 2. Darguin the big boss, is the first boss I know that brings joy into the workforce. He makes everyone comfortable, be themself, and look forward to coming back to work again. Oh, another thing, one of the funniest boss i met and worked with so far. You rock Darguin.....I wish this thing had emoji to show how pumped I am for this firm. God bless Darguin, Marcos, Julio, and the whole entire crew at Flow Design. Also, I almost forgot. Meet my new BAC partner Bailey.....
