what's your fursona like material/texture wise? from what i can glean its sorta liquidy but im curious about the details

it initially used to be some sort of glass or perhaps semisolid putty-like material, but now it's different and capable of way lower viscosity. Specifically, 0. BECs are cool so now it's some sort of shapeshifting (and property-varying) sapient superfluid thing.

as for what it feels like: you know that feeling when you have some part of you too close to a deflagration or when turbulent mixing of air around a fire causes a lump of very hot air to brush against you (hot enough to singe fur)? specifically where you can almost feel the shape of the air? the fire-like stuff feels like the non-thermal component of that - the impression of shape and pressure and a little bit tingly in place of that "almost got burned" feeling. Thermally, it's reflective, so it feels as warm or cold as you do.

in its normal shape, the wing bits are crystalline, kinda like ████ ██████ (██████████) but less █████-████ (█.█. ███ █████████), and ████ can probably ████ ██ the ████ ███. but yeah, same material as the rest of it but different state. if you grabbed one without asking (somehow despite the fire layer), you'd find it really slippery, quite unlike ████ ██████. if you did ask, it'd probably feel like glass.

the eyes ███ ████ ████████, it ████ ██████████ ████ ██████████████ because ██████████████. you can poke them, it doesn't mind.

like the wing shards, the bulk substance of it has a variable tactile character, but i need to go ask it what it's default consistency is. not sure whether it's normally superfluid, or imitating a normal fluid, semisolid, solid whatever. also not sure whether that changes with applied acceleration (i.e. gravity). chances are if multiple people were trying to figure out what it feels like it'd act different for each of them to mess with the group though.

the tetrahedron is an accessory, maybe texture of smooth plastic when tangible?

lastly, here's some more fun facts about it:

the superfluidity means it can voluntarily do things like go through very tiny holes or porous material [16:58] or exit containers in a silly manner [27:21]. (superfluid ³He has been found since this video (about 871x colder), and tw: the word that is also the r-slur is used for its physics meaning right before the first timestamp)

the tail bits can be assembled into extra paws as needed

also second sound means it makes for an efficient heatsink if you can convince it to cooperate

"Okay, Pal, we're goin bowling!"

It's been a strange summer at the Catskills. Midge brought Lenny for the first time, and Joel's brought Mei for the first time, adding two more adults to their group dinners, and the kids are now splitting their time between...well...two sets of parents, really.

"Lenny's taking me fishing!" Ethan declares.

"No, Lenny's not taking you fishing," Joel insists. "It's bowling time."

"No," Ethan tells him. "Fishing. Fishing fishing! LENNY!"

Lenny bounds around the corner, looking confused. "What's with the shouting?" he asks.

Joel isn't thrilled by the man's presence here this summer. Mei's been great. She spends time at the salon with the other ladies, and she helps his mother at the mahjong table, and she generally hasn't caused trouble.

Lenny...in his blue jeans and his plain t-shirts with the sleeve rolled up to store a pack of cigarettes and his fucking hammock. If he's not napping he's making Joel's life miserable.

He's holding a couple of fishing rods and a bucket which likely has bait in it.

"We're gonna go fishing!" Ethan cries.

"Yes," Lenny promises. "In just a moment. I was just getting the rest of the supplies."

"He's not going fishing, he's going bowling," Joel snaps.

Lenny rolls his eyes. "It's only for an hour or so, Joel. I will bring Ethan back in plenty of time for you to bowl with him. The earlier we get out on the water for fishing, the better chance we have at catching something."

It's hard to argue with that logic.

"Why fishing?" Joel asks.

Lenny blinks. "I...like fishing."

"Fishing."

"Yes."

"You don't think that's a little dorky?"

"Oh, I'm well aware of how dorky it is, but I don't really care," Lenny admits. "I'll have him back in a bit, and I will bring him straight to you for bowling."

Joel rolls his eyes. "Fine. But he better not be late!"

Ethan jumps up and down, excited. "Fishing!"
