What do you think was going through Rayla's head when she turned around and she saw Callum plummeting after her?

First, her mindset in her choice: Rayla is nothing but resigned to her death and determined to prevent Zym’s when she tackles Viren off the cliff. She is doing her duty as the last Dragonguard, of her complete volition. Resignation, of course, because Rayla doesn’t want to die, but she’s willing to.

So as she falls, she looks generally at peace. There’s nothing she can do, and she knew it then; she knows it now. I think as the mission went on, there were many times Rayla never expected to make it out alive (most notably in 2x07 and 3x08 beforehand) so it’s not like this is unexpected. Just unfortunate.

And then she sees Callum. Her eyes widen. Her brow lifts. There’s shocked sadness on her face, like she can’t believe it. Is she just hallucinating the boy she wants to see in her last moments, the boy she loves? Or is he real and stupid and beautifully brave?

She can see him reaching out to her, and so she reaches back. She can’t save either of them now. But luckily, she doesn’t have to.

R: Callum! But how did you—?C: ‘Cause I love you, Rayla. I really do.

Her wonder boy indeed.

A new _ and probably not too_ cracked theory (slightly big spoiler about TTM) about Season 4, the sky and the stars

I was re-hearing the 1st episode of HBMP, and I took notice of something that didn’t hit me the first time: A.Ehasz said that the sky and the stars are linked (like the sun and the moon, the ocean and the earth).

And guess what? Callum’s spellsbook:

Vision! 

Sooo, vision, like "seeing things"? Future? Past? Present? 

After Rayla's departure in TTM, Callum has no idea of where she is and no human way to track her. After all, she only said she saw Viren’s alive. 

Plus, Corvus is good but not here and by the time he would joined them, the track would have already disappear, if Rayla hasn’t already take care of them. 

 So Callum goes “after her”, which could mean where Viren was last seen => the Storm Spire. Or he’s just in need to someone for help? (Zubeia? Ibis?) For a tip or something? (since he’s at the storm spire...) 

And then, they talk about a way to find her. You know... that... kind of... mirror of Galadriel, here:

Because it's the sky nexus and it's a good place to have a vision? And as the sky is connected to the stars, maybe he'll see Aaravos? and/or Viren? And understand the latter is alive and so that Rayla is in danger?

because if that basin-thing isn’t for visions, then what for? For birds to take a bath?
