So @dayurno left an open invitation for the first-sentence writing game, and as I only have WIPs right now but have promised myself to talk about them more, here goes an attempt:
1. There is a joke, and it starts like this: A mother and a son get in a car.
2. When the article drops, Kevin is in the middle of a game.
3. Many ancient civilizations, like the Romans and the Egyptians, believed that the size of one's daemon was directly correlated with their destiny to greatness.
4. It’s a warm evening in August when Stuart Hatford buries his sister in the family plot, exactly two years to the day she actually died.
5. The morning Mr. Jeremy Knox arrives at Evermore Hall dawns dour and gray like a bad omen.
6. Because her day was not enough of a disaster already, Dan arrives to her three a.m. shift at Jelly’s Diner fifteen minutes late with body glitter still stuck stubbornly to the sides of her tits, only to find her least favorite client already sitting in her section.
I also leave this one open for anyone who feels like it! Except for @queer-lovebot whom I would like to force to participate
