My little interpretation of Virgil’s positive anxiety he can harbour at the beginning of falling in love is that it basically effects everyone, and from what we saw in WIDS, this is basically canon.

Later on, Virgil will have his doubts, Patton will become unsure because of previous relationships, Janus will realise the reality and feel it necessary for the relationship to be something to hide, and Logan will draw his conclusion from the aforementioned sides’ concerns and decide that a romantic relationship isn’t best for Thomas.

But for now, as Logan said in the episode, every emotion was pure, like nothing could go wrong.

So, I really like byler as an interpretation of the canon material and also as a finale, however based on my horrible experiences with TV shows/series, I think Stranger Things will end in the most homosexual homophobic way possible. And yknow, now the final season is approching... and honestly I kinda learned to be excited about being disapointed again in a surprising way and go straight to AO3 to pretend the finale is different. We should make bets!!
