How come, HOW COME that when Langdon is actively endangering himself and his patient by dilating opioid medication Robby yells at him (in private), tells him to go home, then lets him work during a mass casualty event the same day he kicks him out and tells him to go to rehab. Langdon, who had to be ratted out by Santos for his addiction to come to light (which he denied before Robby searched his locker), who took no steps to get himself out of the trenches, who couldn't even admit he was an addict, got of without barely anyone knowing he stole regulated substances from prescriptions he made for his patients.
BUT when Al-Hashimi comes to Robby herself for a second opinion on her condition, when she's already consulting a neurologist for her seizures, when she does everything she can to ensure she and her patients are safe and taken care of while she does her job Robby threatens her to report herself to the HR? Saying she's incompetent or unable to do her job?? He tells this to a woman that has been living with this condition since she was 5 which is probably as long as she can remember, to a woman that managed to earn her doctor title and has been to an active war zone despite having a seizure disorder. While as soon as her state worsened she took steps to stabilise the situation.
How come a senior resident stealing opioids from the hospital isn't an HR worthy report but a female attending physician having a flare up with her condition is?
I'm not saying she shouldn't tell someone or deal with her condition, but I am seeing Robby's judgment in this is majorly flawed and unfair.
I understand that his lashing out is driven by his suffering and declining mental health and while that is a reason, it's not an excuse.
It's also not the source of his bias and misogyny.
