The Weeping Angel (Andith style)

I have had this thought for quite awhile. 

The Weeping Angel’s send Edith back through time. The year is 1941, Edith is about 45 years old and she is investigating a possibility for an interesting story for her magazine. It’s about some strange on goings at a house in a dark corner of London (People are going missing) and can you guess what happens next... Edith go’s missing

(Now i know she isn’t old in this picture, but just use your imagination)

Her daughter Marigold goes in search for her Mama.

But when she arrives at the mysterious house, she is met by a man, a young tall blonde man, claiming to be her half-brother Christopher. She of coarse doesn’t believe him and is about to run, when he produces a letter from their Mother, she recognize’s her Mama’s hand-writing. In the letter in part, explains what happened to her mother

Edith explains in the letter that the young man, is indeed her half-brother Christopher Strallan. Edith asks Marigold to come to her home at Belgrave square, so that she can explain what happened to her, Marigold is so confused and dazed by all the new information, she readily agrees to accompany Christopher, so she can finally find out what happen to her mother and how she has a half-brother that’s nearly the same age as her.

She finds out that her mother (Now 65 years old) traveled 21 years into the past, her Mama also found out that she was in Yorkshire and the date was the same day, she was jilted at the alter by Christopher’s father Anthony Strallan, she explains that she still loved him and so traveled the short distance to Anthony’s home Lockley, she arrives at his home, the same time he gets home from the jilting. 

He doesn’t believe her at first, but when she tells him what he told her the night of the proposal “Do you know what you mean to me? You have given me my life back” Anthony starts to weep and apologize’s profusely, she comforts him (In more ways, than one. Tee hee hee) not long after this they get married and on their honeymoon, they find out that she is pregnant (Christopher is a change of life baby. That’s why he is older than her)

Edith explains to her daughter that still love’s Marigold’s step-father Bertie Pelham, but that after Bertie’s death (He went off to war again, but never came back) she had felt lonely ever since 

Marigold meets Anthony (Anthony is now 71 years and quite spry) she is a little wary of him, but once she gets to know him, she finds out that she and he have a love of books and Edith, she also likes Christopher

Marigold and Christopher like each other so much, they spend quite a lot of time together, so much so, Christopher introduces her to his very good friend Alex McBride an American medical officer

WHAT: A story exchange contest in which you will have a story written JUST for you! You too will anonymously write a short yet magnificent fic for your assigned “fool.”

WHEN: April Fools Day of course! Posting April 1-8, 2019.
