okay love or hate me for this but all the numbers from the otp & their kids questionnaire for clint and abra

yeah. yeah i do kinda hate you for this it took me so long, i don't know enough about babies to be doing this

bUT i loved doing it so skdkk

1. how did they feel about raising children? did these feelings change once they became parents?

Oh Abra loves kids so much. She’s always wanted kids. When her niece Lennon was born she would volunteer to babysit her anytime her parents wanted to go out. 

2. what’s their parenting approach? do they raise their children differently than how they were raised?

please- Abra’s parenting approach is just… constant concern. She is always worried something is gonna happen to her kids. 

Clint meanwhile has accidentally taken at least one of their children to a Russian mob hideout, though that really was not on purpose, he was just trying to take his daughter to the park, but the mob had other plans. 

And they most definitely raise their kids differently from how they were raised, Abra’s mother was really strict and she didn’t want that for her kids, and then Clint’s dad was just… a horrible human being who he did not want to follow in any way. 

3. what is their favorite thing(s) about their children? what do they love about their children the most?

When they’re asleep

Actually Abra’a favourite favourite thing is when they were young and got lonely or just bored in their own rooms so they’d just crash in her room. Like her and Clint would wake up in the morning with one kid somehow sleeping above their heads, one is most definitely upside down, they don’t know how it happened, and yeah sometimes it’s kind of annoying, but it’s also the kind of morning Abra lives for. 

4. who gets the most emotional seeing their children grow older?

Abra. For like a million reasons, it’s Abra.

5. who do they think their children takes after the most? which traits do the children share with their parents? (appearance or personality wise)

Clint is so certain their kids take after her more, like it is the hill he will die on. Janie and Andy already look so much like her it would make sense, plus Janie definitely inherited her mother’s skill for scamming people, she’s Nate’s favourite parent and it shows in the way he acts, her and Chloe have the same taste in music and shows and an eerily similar sense of humour. 

This is however, not true at all. Like sure, Janie looks a lot like Abra, but you put her next to Clint and it is overwhelmingly obvious that she is his daughter. Andy is also very similar to him since Clint was the only parent he had for like five years of his life. 

6. how do they celebrate their baby’s first birthday? are they the type of parents to go over the top for birthdays/holidays?

Oh each of the birthday’s was super chill, just a couple of people, like family and close friends. As they get older the parties get bigger, but for the first couple of years they really are just pretty small little parties. 

Holidays however are not chill. Holidays are huge. They have a huge holiday party which at it’s peak had like 17 people all crammed into their tiny apartment, each person like, either a blood relative or just might as well have been one. 

7. how do they soothe their crying baby when they’re out in public? who’s the best at rocking the baby to sleep?

They just kind of walk around with the baby, cause they’re just kind of constantly aware of drawing attention, so they do whatever they can to get the baby to quiet down. 

8. how do they care for their children when they get sick? who checks on them in the middle of the night?

Oh neither of them sleep ever so the checking on them just depends on who’s closest to the baby at the time. However, as some of their kids get older it ends up being whoever doesn’t have like 2 kids using them as a pillow.

9. who is the most protective of their children? what makes them both shift into overprotective mode?

Oh they’re both very protective over the kids. I think Abra’s more vocal about it, considering she outright threatened Tony when he lowkey tried to threaten her kids, but they’re both incredibly protective over them. 

And please the weirdest things make them overprotective. Like Janie has met Russian mobsters, but neither of her parents really freak out until Yelena breaks into their apartment. 

10. who spoils their children the most? who finds it difficult telling their children ‘no’?

Gfdfd please

It’s Clint. But it’s just because he keeps falling for their weirdly elaborate schemes. 

11. what was their baby’s first word(s)? if the baby’s first word was something used to address their parent(s), who claimed bragging rights?

Janie - her first word was Mamma, and Abra cried

Nate - they’re not sure what his actual first word was, but the first word he used while living with them was Abby. Abra was just a little smug about it, if a little confused as to how Nate managed to pick up on Abby before like, Mom, but she loves it. 

Andy - his first word was bye, and it made Clint cry for… so many reasons.

And then they don’t actually know what Chloe’s first word was.

12. do their kids ever find them embarrassing?

hA yes. All the time.

13. what is their name(s)? is there any significance to it? any nicknames they go by? or cute pet names their parents give them?

Janie - Her name is actually Jane but nobody calls her that Ever, honestly her parents don’t even love the name Jane, and it eventually lead to Clint giving all the kids nicknames

Nathaniel - everybody just calls him Nate. He’s named after Natasha.

Andrew - same deal, he’s just nicknamed Andy.

Chloe - she’s just Chloe

14. how were they like as small children? did their personality change drastically as they grew older?

Nate was a really really quiet kid. He actually worried them a little when he didn’t start talking when he was supposed to, turns out he could, he just didn’t want to. He definitely got louder as he got older, especially when he ended up becoming the peacemaker between Janie and Andy. 

15. what do they usually eat at restaurants? are they a picky eater?

Janie - grilled cheese

Nate - pasta, with butter and parmesan cheese

Andy - he just wants jello. All the time

Chloe - pizza

16. have they ever scared their parents?

Oho. yes. Yes they have. 

17. what was their favorite childhood toys/games growing up?

Barney gave each of the kids a plastic bow and arrow. It was the bane of their parents’ existence

They also each have a special stuffed animal .

18. which parent do they call out to whenever they have a bad dream?

Oh it’s like unanimously Abra. Though that’s mostly because Clint is such a deep sleeper it’s not even really worth it to try and wake him up

20. did they grow up to be different than what their parents had expected?

Eh. not really, no. 

I think their parents had pretty proportional expectations of what their kids were going to become and for the most part, they weren’t surprised by how they turned out.

That being said, Janie does get kind of interested in being a superhero and Abra most definitely does not appreciate that.
