The Voice of Ego, Spirit Guides and Intuition — this is how each of the them is communicating

Every one of us has voices in our heads. But whose voice is it? How can we tell the difference?

There are thousands of thoughts which enter in and out of our mind. Every minute of every day. Some of them subconsciously and some consciously. It is challenging to be aware of all the voices in our mind. But it is also crucial on the path to enlightenment.

In fact, a lot of spiritual teachers and the practice of meditation teaches us not to engage with our thoughts. Instead of that, to be an observer. We are not our thoughts, but we are the observer that is behind them. We are the one who is listening to our thoughts.

Meditation can be a fantastic practice. But it is not always possible to ignore the voices in our head. The internal dialogue which we all have is fundamental to our health, as well as our physical, emotional, as well as spiritual wellbeing.

The mind is a superb instrument which we use in the right way. When used in the wrong way, however, it will become very destructible. ∼ Eckhart Tolle

Learning how to determine the different “voices” in our mind, can help us use our mind as a powerful tool for guidance and clarity.

1. The voice of the ego.

The primary job of the ego is the physical survival. Through our early years, we usually take it on as our inner voice, as it helps us protect and teaches us about the boundaries.

Our ego is heavily conditioned by society. Also by past experiences, culture, and fear. Although protection is the main job that the ego has, more often than not, our ego voice becomes rooted in fear.

Our ego wants to talk about wants, as well as securities, plans, anxieties, and stress. It will usually think of the worst possible scenario. It is also quick to judge and discriminate. The voice of our ego always wants to be right. It hates to be questioned and loves to feel victimized.

This voice has the power to override both the voice of the higher self, as well as the spirit guides. It often arises from the front left area of our mind. A firm voice, as well as authoritative. The ego communicates mainly with words, as well a surface level emotions.

2. The voice of the higher self/intuition.

The internal guidance system of your soul is your higher self or intuitive voice, which is connected with the universe. It is here to look after you — spiritually and emotionally. It often communicates with words.

While the ego voice is authoritative in your mind, the higher self-voice is softer and quieter. It is “felt,” rather than being “heard.”

This voice usually communicates in subtle ways or through dreams. But, it may also become persistent or nagging.

When the higher self-speaks, everything seems to make some sense. There is also a feeling of inner knowingness which appears to arise instantly.

3. Voice of your spirit guides/angels.

These voices are the quietest of all others. They are often heard from the right side of the body. You may also hear a ringing in your ears when you are receiving some communication. The voice of the spirit guides is usually internal and it is experienced through meditation.

Also, they can even communicate with words. You can notice some physical signs or be triggered by a strange coincidence.

This voice is usually always calm, as well as thoughtful loving and gentle. These voices are never demanding nor do they instill fear or anxiety. Sometimes, the messages they send may not make sense entirely at first, or they may also be symbolic.

You will eventually get better at working out which of the voices is communicating with you and which of them offers you the best solution.

  STORY TIME!!!

 After spending some time training under the angel Moonshi and Vodkasu, a homicidal majin by the name of Nevula began causing trouble in the vast expanse of Universe 0.  Seeing an opportunity to test just how strong Carina had become, Vodkasu and Moonshi had brought Carina to Nevula, who was in the middle of creating chaos on a nearby planet.  Nevula of course had done all of it to ultimately challenge Vodkasu for his place as destroyer so there would be no opposition to her wrongdoings, but the angel had decided to make a bet with the majin.  If Nevula could defeat Carina, the Majin could claim the power of destroyer.  If not, she would be at the mercy of Vodkasu. 

Of course, drunk on her own power, Nevula accepted said bet.  

When they faced off, the majin expected to end the seemingly weak half ling with one punch.  Let’s just say she underestimated the young warrior.  After being knocked away by Carina’s parry, the Majin exclaimed in defiance “A lucky shot little brat.  It won’t happen again.”

Carina gave her an indifferent look as she replied. “It doesn’t take luck to beat an arrogant fool.  Your fate was sealed the moment you decided to challenge Vodkasu’s authority.”

  “You believe yourself to be more powerful?  A short, insignificant shrew like you could not compare to my skill!”  

“I don’t believe I am.  I know I am stronger than some cocky bitch who simply seeks attention.”

   Snarling viciously, Nevula clenched her fists in fury as she stated. “ How dare you mock me!”
