Hey, I have a theory on why we don't see the Princesses (besides Cadence and Twilight) use their God powers, it stems from them useing the elements to much without being chosen, they could use it useing their overwhelming power for a limited time, but it made permanent cuts to their powers Hope this makes sence

;; Or in canon they never were supposed to be godlike. That is a fanon (fanmade theory) and never supported by the show. Alicorns are supposed to be powerful in the show but nowhere does it say that they are godlike.

And I don’t think they were “not chosen” by the Elements. Clearly the Elements worked so well for them they were able to stop Discord with it. Celestia even used them by herself to banish Nightmare Moon. If they were not meant to have them they wouldn’t be using them for such huge feats and they wouldn’t have worked effectively. I don’t think this theory holds much weight.

And, uh, as for MY rp Princesses, no, that’s not the case. They are demigods but that doesn’t mean by any means their power is awesome and unstoppable. Luna is rusty from years of not fighting and Celestia is purposefully holding back so as not lose control of the massive power stores she has and doom everyone. 

Also, important to note: the princesses’ jobs aren’t fighting. They’re ruling. They have guards and an army and the Elements to solve those kind of conflicts for a reason. They’re being faulted for things that need not even apply to them.

I’m kind of tired of typing out long christmas rants every year it comes around

let’s just leave it at: I hate everything about it except eggnog, trans siberian orchestra, and christmas lights (the pretty ones not the million blow up santas)
