How to: Be ready for the new school year.
Episode 2: The System.
Super late to posting this but took a much needed break and now I'm back with the second episode of our "How to" series! Let's begin right away.
High maintenance routine: to be low maintenance! Pick any day of the week, let's use Sunday as an example, to do everything that might distract you during the week. Each Sunday, vacuum your room, mop the floor, clean your desk and take an everything shower, do your eyebrows, shave.. just do everything in that one day to set the mood for the rest of the week and to not stress about them. Kinda like a Sunday reset!
Weekly planning: This is so important! Have your schedule right in front of you and start planning your week accordingly, whether you have an assignment to hand in or a doctor's appointment to attend, just have it written down so you don't forget because you WILL forget. You can use notion, google calendar or a physical planner if you have one.
Have a routine: Extremely important as well. You want to have a structure, and of course some days might not allow us to follow that routine strictly but then after those days you'll still have something to guide you back on track!
Meal prep: You might wonder what does meal prep have to do with this but hear me out. Meal prepping saves you 1. A lot of time 2. Money. It's also healthy. You can meal prep on you reset day that we mentioned before and have the food packed and refrigerated!
That's it for today! I know it's short, but these are my best tips ever and I didn't want to write just whatever. Good luck with school my loves!

Episode 3: The Hygiene.
Hi angels! New day new episode of our "How to" series! Now, getting ready for the new school year isn't just all books and calendars, let's take care of ourselves as well! Here are some of my favourite tips & reminders.
Oral hygiene: I've come across a tiktok earlier and in the comment section I discovered that many people's parents didn't care much about oral hygiene. Let's tackle this one down thoroughly, because oral hygiene isn't just about brushing. First: Choose a good toothbrush & toothpaste, and they don't have to be expensive, just effective. Second: Flossing. People underestimate how good flossing is. It gets rid of food that gets stuck between your teeth AND no, a toothpick won't do. Third: Oil pulling. Choose any edible oil like coconut or sesame and swish it for as long as you can then spit it out. It gets rid of plaque and reduces oral bacteria! Fourth: Tongue scraping. This is so important because it removes bacteria and dead cells from your the tongue's surface and thus helps improve bad breath and taste.
Showers: We all know everything showers, we know the steps and so on, I won't be talking about that. I'm talking about the tiny places we *might* miss: the navel for example. This should be cleaned and taken care of, as well as your armpits and behind your ears. Just because it's hidden doesn't mean we can simply ignore it! So make sure to get all those tiny places and hidden parts and clean them just as well!
Hair hygiene: Shampoo, condition and rinse. But also brush regularly to detangle and break build-up, use hair masks, get trims every 3-6 months and maintain a healthy diet!
Nail hygiene: Some people prefer longer nails and that's fine but ! they hold more germs than you'd like ): So it's better to maintain shorter nails, clean them with q tips, file and shape them however you'd like. Also keep your hands moisturized for a better look. If you have a habit of biting nails or cuticles please seek ways to prevent yourself from doing so as it may cause infections plus it doesn't look good.
Scent Hygiene: So we did take a good shower, moisturize! An unscented body lotion acts as a base to help your perfume last longer. You can layer fragrances by using a body wash, body splash and perfume of the same scent, this way, the scent lasts longer on your body. Note: Please do NOT over do it, don't use many fragrances of various notes that will overpower each other and not smell as good as you think.
That's it for today my loves! Come back tomorrow for more ;)

How to: Be ready for the new school year.
Episode 1: The Reset.
Hi babes! Welcome to another "How to" episode, today's topic is my absolute favourite like I literally spent half the day watching back to school hauls on tiktok (unhealthy i know but that's just how it is some days). This topic will be covered in a couple of episodes actually, so let's get started!
Set your intentions & goals: Think of your past school year; what do you want to do different? What's a habit you want to change/keep? Was your routine productive? Set clear, achievable goals that will help you unlock your full potential this year.
Redo your notion page: I've been doing this every year for the past 4 years, redoing my notion page makes me feel, i don't know if that's the right for it, fresh. It makes me feel like I'm on a new chapter now. Make it organized, make it yours. If you can't do it on your own, there are plenty of tutorials/templates online, you can simply use a template you like and customize it to your own preferences.
Empty your gallery: Especially if you don't do this regularly, trust me you're going to need that storage. Talking from experience.
Unfollow accounts that don't inspire: Go through your followings list on tiktok, instagram, and every platform you use. Are the people you following inspiring? If yes, then keep them. You don't need any accounts that make distract you from being who you want to be.
Clean & organize your desk: Get rid of papers you don't need, notebooks that are filled and won't be needed, empty pens that aren't refillable, you get the point.
Make a list: Of everything you need to buy. Pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks.. It'll make it easier for you when you go shopping for school.
Declutter your closet: Especially if you don't have a uniform, get rid of clothes you won't be wearing, don't fit, etc. You can donate them or pass them down to your cousins/siblings.
Organize your Spotify account: Funny, I know, but I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and it's fun & useful later on. Delete playlists you no longer listen to, create a new playlist for the new school year, change your playlists' covers..
Create a vision board: Go on Pinterest, create a new board and add pictures that align with the goals you set. Check it every now and then and see what you've achieved, makes you feel good.
Write down your routine: Of course you won't be able to stick to it every single day, but it's good to have a routine made by you & for you. If you ever fall off the track, you know you have a routine written down to keep you guided.
That's it for today angels! Tomorrow's episode.. well, let's keep it a surprise for now. Good luck, my loves <3
How to: fix your attention span.
Hi angels! It's been a minute and I missed you loads so, I'm back with another "how to" post. Today's is about our declining attention spans. With the spread of short videos, the easy access to the x2 button, and the endless scrolling, it's been pretty hard to focus on one thing for more than 2 minutes. I'll be sharing some tips I've been experimenting so pay attention!
Neglect the x2 button: Yes, it's hard. Especially when the video is 10 minutes long of an influencer getting ready BUT try to physically restrain yourself of using that button, and if you fail to, close tiktok or whatever platform you're using for ten minutes and do anything else.
Read: As easy and simple as that. Read. Any type of books, any genre, just read. If you can't seem to focus on what's written grab a pencil and trace the words to make sure you're reading and comprehending each and every one. Set a goal for the amount of pages you want to read each day (e.g. 10 pages everyday) and make sure you reach it.
Ditch your phone: Turn it off, put it as far from you as you can, and don't check it for a designated period of time (e.g. 2 hours).
Fix your sleeping schedule: Set a bedtime timer, stop scrolling an hour before bed, and know that it'll be hard at first but then it'll get so much easier once you're accustomed to it.
Digital detox: Try digital detox once a month, reduce your screen time, read, go to the gym, take a walk outside, spend time with family/friends.. Do anything that will make you spend a full day without screens.
Mind games: YES! Sudoku, chess, flags quiz, literally any game that will sharpen your mind and memory.
That's it for now babes! Hope you have a good day! Much love, Angel.
It's all about choices; the pain of staying where you are or the pain of growth?
