Anger illudes control.

Indignance illudes faultlessness.

Perhaps it feels safe.

Perhaps it is the reason why

All you want to see is red.

It’s an easy thing to fall

When you don’t know you’re falling.

It’s an easy thing to be sightless

When you veiled your own eyes.

It’s an easy thing to scream

When you can no longer hear what you’re saying.

But it gets hard to breathe

When the veil becomes a shroud.

And when you can’t breathe,

You can’t make a sound.

And you can’t scream for help

When you finally hit the ground

Because in all the screaming and shouting,

There’s no one left around.

Control turns to chaos,

Righteousness to loneliness.

And in the grave that you’ve dug,

The one you fell into,

All you see is red.

Because that is all you want to.
