We talked about Zeus being soft towards Athena because he feels guilty about what he did to Metis.

But also consider: Hera being soft to Athena because she also feels guilty for what happened. She feels guilty that she did nothing to stop it, or help to try find another solution to the dilemma. Maybe even guilt over feeling a bit of relief after Zeus did what he did?

Remember, is not just Zeus who could be paranoid about the idea of a new future war incoming and even more so from his own offspring.

Maybe that's why she is now more rigid and obstinated, fiercily decided to put him in his place and go against him when needed. Last time she allowed Zeus to do as he pleased, everybody lost a friend, and Athena had to grow motherless.... :)

Thinking about Rio and hurting bad.

Thinking about the love she had for Agatha, a mortal, a love so strong that Rio was willing to bend her own rules—the sacred balance—just because Agatha said one thing.

“I will hate you forever.”

Rio knew that there was nothing to stop what was coming. She did not want to do it, she had no choice. It was the way of life and so was the way of death. It was the way of Rio’s very own being.

And yet Agatha still rejected her. Everything that Rio stood for and everything that Rio ever was, over something that she had absolutely no control over.

Can you imagine how painful that would be?

Still she stood there and took everything Agatha threw at her.

And Rio did try to find a way to work around, she offered time. For Agatha, for Nicky. And for herself.

She bought time for both of them to delay the most unthinkable. For Agatha, it was the death of her (their) son; and for Rio, nothing was more unimaginable than the loss of Agatha’s love and affection.

It was the greatest gift and blessing Death could ever offer to anyone.

Agatha would get what she wanted, at least for a while. She would welcome their son to the world and live out possibly the happiest moments of her life. But for Rio, it was a countdown to the darkest and most sorrowful time ever known to her.

And Agatha would never know any of that.

Rio Vidal, the most powerful yet most tragic character of the show. Who gave her all but at the end, got nothing back.

Okay, so this is an angsty literati day for me, and also regarding my previous repost and the gif with the sentence "and no matter what happens you'll always love her" and it shows Jess staring lovingly at Rory in both accounts.

So, I once read a comment, I forgot from where, and it was many months ago, maybe at the beginning of me diving headfirst into this fandom. The comment pretty much shattered my heart, but at that time, I agreed.

Paraphrased, it basically said that we all know that in a room full of people, Jess would pick her. No doubt, he'll go to her. But the same thing can't be said for Rory.

See, even the previous gifs, in that specific sentence, it's Jess who is shown to have this big feeling for her, this love which he holds for years. I was still new back then, and I agreed, maybe because of my still lack of content and knowledge I've gathered. And now... I actually still don't know. Would she? Pick him in a room full of people?

Oh, and disclaimer, maybe for Rory's room the obvious choice is Lorelai, her literal mother and best friend, so maybe other than her, okay? :)

I'm making a poll now because my heart is sad and I kinda want to be convinced that she would even though I still think the chances are slim. So, please?

Jess would've, no doubt. They're the kinda pairing that you'd think when you listen "If The World Was Ending You'd Come Over Right?" for sure.

thinking about how tragic of a character rafe cameron actually is, and people don't entirely acknowledge it because they're either too busy hating him or just thinking he's hot -and i mean same, but god, even presently in season 4 after he ended things with sofia he was saying shit like "i've got nothing to lose." and he was going after the mercenaries without even stopping to think about the actual danger he was in.

do you know the saddest part? i like radskier but all that- all that radovid fanboy act, all that whipped guy, in love with the famous bard, who has always appreciated jaskier and looks at him with many heart eyes and PINING.... I wanted him to be eskel. I wanted eskel to know about jaskier years ago, and keep his songs in his heart, and when he met him, he would say beautiful things about how jaskier is able to see beyond the outside, how he sees the best in everyone- but no, they massacred my boy and they gave me this instead. and and and I appreciate it, but it still hurts.

It is canon to me that D!Master would steal a companion of 13's away to have all to himself. She always has so many companions but he doesn't. He never wanted them but when he saw you, that all changed. And what better one to steal than the one his best friend turned enemy desired most? You, of course. The way she reacted when he took you, arms around your waist, eyes never leaving hers as a smirk was plastered on his face? He'd never forget as he took your soft enchanting form away with him.

billy held onto christmas his entire life. he sort of still does. it’s probably his favourite holiday. he likes it when he sees the trees light up in peoples homes and he likes when he sees how everything shifts to red, green, and white.
