Animal Cops
Watching animal cops.
Dude is parked illegally. Officer was just gonna give him a warning but the dude refused to give him a name, dob, and address.
He told them he was pastor so and so, his dob is irrelevant and the only date that mattered was his baptism date, and his address is "the kingdom of heaven." He had no drivers license. He said any kind of state id is the paperwork of the devil. He keeps screaming about how his authority is God and only God.
And now he's calling the county jail a dungeon.
And he called the governor of Oregon Satan which, I mean, isn't totally wrong? This aired in 2015 so it was probably filmed in 2013 or 2014? But, honestly. Just... what???
For the record? The Bible is very clear on authority. Romans 13 says there is no authority except that which God has permitted. Hebrews 13 orders that we have confidence in our leaders. 1st Peter 2 instructs us to submit to human authority.
Granted, I ain't saying that every law is a just law, but we're talking about a drivers license?! We're talking about a minor traffic violation?!
Iv noticed there are tons of posts about nostalgic cartoons/shows but Iv never seen one for the original animal planet shows so I decided to make a few. :) sadly I couldn’t find pictures for all so I’ll list them below: amazing animal videos, the entirety of the animal cops shows in different cities, animal miracles,k-9 to 5,lemur kingdom, wild rescues. Of course Steve Irwin,Jeff Corwin,Nigel Marven and David Salmoni had multiple shows/documentaries as well. If I missed any let me know :)
There was a great moment on this Animal Cops I watched last night where there was this dog was left pretty much abandoned in a yard but someone kept picking up the notices the officer left and leaving the dog a little water (tho it wasn’t clear if the water was the owner or one of the worried neighbors, sometimes they try to help the animals too) so even though the dog was clearly starving and in bad condition it wasn’t fully abandoned and thus could not be seized to take to the vet.
And then the officer gets her hopes up since one day when she stops by there’s no water and so she calls in to ask “hey, hot day no water can I take the dog to a vet now?” as as she’s mid call she’s signaled (my guess is by the camera person) and turns around and lo and behold the dog just gets himself out of the yard. If he’s out he’s “on the loose” and she can take him in. So she just stands there as he finishes escaping and then goes over and gets him.
Smart dog.
As a Floridian, Animal Cops Miami will always be the Animal Cops closest to my heart. Like, their wildlife trapper Todd Hardwick is catching a nuisance gator and comments how the gator’s clearly tired and agitated and then offhandedly says he’s tired and grumpy too “so it’ll be a fair fight.”
He finally gets a rope around the gator’s top jaw and it death rolls and he explains that it thinks it’s doing this to tear off his arm or whatever’s grabbing it “but that’s not my arm, it’s a rope, sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Alligator.”
He just sounds so chill the whole time. This is just his job, man.
I was an animal control officer and the "reptile officer". This was the largest snake I worked with. I don't think the weight is accurate but he was pretty heavy. He was taken from a closed down stripper joint wherein the owner went to federal prison. He survived the ordeal and got a new home.
God bless those who put on a uniform to rescue animals from cruelty and abuse, because I couldn't do it. The first time I come face to face with an animal abuser, I'd kill him on the spot. How high does this taser go? I'm about to find out. On your balls. They'd be hauling my ass to jail while I scream, "No regrets! Find the puppy a good home!"
