@annabelweldon at the tower bar, saturday night.

Since the storm, it had been a couple tough weeks. Mostly because business wasn’t progressing as usual. The town needed to be reconstructed before he could plan constructing something more recreational. Obviously, he could continue planning and construction of the resort, however, if the city wasn’t standing well, there wouldn’t be tourism and, essentially, he would be creating something doomed to fail. What a shame would be to drag the Vanderbilt name through failure. That being said, Scott was looking for more distractions than usual as he was spending his working hours investing and there wasn’t much else to do after hours. His workload had drastically diminished and he didn’t like it. Drinking more than his usual had become the norm and it was a good way to numb his feelings ── after all, he couldn’t shift his focus to work.

It wasn’t unlikely to find Scott drinking at a Saturday night, so to make matters worse, he downed half-bottle of whiskey by himself pacing alone at his house, before he decided that it wasn’t a night to be alone.

The Tower Bar had to be one of his favorites bars in town. Probably because he could have a good city view while sipping on his whiskey. The building wasn’t as high as his penthouse, but it still gave him a good glance of the sky. Scott had always been fascinated about heights and the sky. It was one thing to be on top, it was a different level when things were limitless. The sky, galaxies, and the universe were basically the only things that symbolized limitlessness. The rest was just an illusion. Even himself, in his own sense of self importance. He was shitting himself. Then, the Tower Bar became his spot, and it was where he decided to spend his evening. He fixed his jacket as he entered the place, walking straight at the bar which he leaned over at ease. "What are you drinking?” Scott asked to the woman beside him as he gestured to the bartender. “I could use a surprise tonight.”

Despite the extreme resentment she has towards her birth parents, Sirena still has a small stuffed lizard in her night stand that she got from them when she was a baby. It went with her from foster home to foster home after she entered the system at 10, and she held onto it after that too because it was something that let her hold on to her life before things got totally shitty. She takes it out on the nights where her thoughts are too much and she just needs something familiar and safe.
