Here's a genuinely hot take: Silent Hill: Downpour should've cut the open world/side quest concepts and used a Resident Evil style multiple characters system instead. Have Anne be playable as an alternative route through the game (like the events of the Anne's Story comic) and lean into the idea that Murphy is her Boogeyman. The part in St Maria's Monastery where you're chasing the young girl and looking for the poem fragments? I kind of assumed that Anne was also in the monastery fleeing from The Boogeyman, you're both experiencing the same events from different perspectives, different altered states of reality. Give Anne some radically different monsters that reflect her trauma of caring for her father after the riot, or the sexual favors she had to do for the warden of Wayside to arrange Murphy's transfer. Shorter game, smaller environments, two different perspectives. I think it would've been a VASTLY more engaging experience and told a more complete story.

Protagonists and Anne and Cybil with fall wear & hobbies? Who wears knitted and colorful sweater? Who likes walk in park with all the leaves? Who absolutely hates the cold and so on?

Fall is Harry’s season. He likes the chill that makes hikes bearable and goes camping frequently.

Relatedly, Cybil considers certain weeks of fall to be perfect motorcycle weather and she usually takes vacation time to do a biking expedition.

James is pretty neutral towards the fall. He might go leaf-peeping.

Heather is a pumpkin spice queen and gets absolutely hyped for Halloween.

Henry likes the excuse of the chill to stay inside and drink warm things.

Travis is a little bummed because no summer means no pool parties. That said, he’s on the same wavelength as Cybil and motorcycles around.

Alex plays in leaves and loves bonfires.

Murphy is also kind of neutral about it, but he’s also the king of making hot chocolate.

Anne likes the fall, but she has trouble articulating why.
