Ending Scene — pt. 1

Angst. Byun Baekhyun (EXO). I do not own anything other than the plot and the minor characters. This is only my first attempt so please go easy on me!!

Today is a really busy day for me.

Hot and humid air greeted my face as we entered the open venue for the music festival. Many people were dressed in bright and light clothing and that huge booths occupied the landscape, with white tents covering them from the heat of the sun.

Me and my friend Jo went inside a booth to get tickets to go in. We were extremely lucky that no one was in line then.

"I'm glad you came with me! I thought I was going alone this year!", Jo grinned at me, waving her wrist with the tag. I smiled at her.

"It's not so often that I go to festivals like these. Tickets for these have the same price as my lunch!", I replied with a teasing look on my face. As we were chatting, we were looking for a place to sit while waiting for the festival to start.

There were definitely a lot of people. This was expected but I didn't expect to see so many. Thankfully, we were able to find a good spot.

"I'm gonna go get us some food, you stay here.", I told her while she was fixing the cloth on the grass.

I walked around the area while scannibv the food in the stalls and decided to get pizza. While waiting, I overheard two young girls who were chattering non-stop.

"The line-up for this year's music festival is really good, right? We're lucky we got tickets early!", the girl in front of me said.

"We're finally going to see Baekhyun for the first time! The mere thought of it just makes me want to scream!", the second girl exclaimed while I froze over what she said.

Baekhyun. No, it's probably a different person. It can't be. It's too impossible.

"He's such an incredible singer!!"

"We're finally going to hear them live!!"

I shouldn't panic. It's fine, no big deal. A lot of people have the same name. It's a coincidence. It HAS to be, I thought to myself as I quickly walked to out spot with the food and drinks in both of my hands. Remembering those memories gave me a headache an da sudden urge to walk faster, making the surroundings seem blurry. I arrived at our spot while catching my breath with Jo looking at me weirdly.

"Did you join a marathon or something? You're sweating buckets!", she exclaimed, taking the stuffs from my hands and quickly rummaged through my bag. She immediately threw me a shirt and said,

"Change you shirt. We're not going home with you getting sick. And do it quickly! The festival will start soon."
