It's hard to really describe why I continue to draw Lilia without getting all sappy. Or even try to explain why it bugs me so much when a drawing of him that I made doesn't look right.

Because much like in this moment that I try to capture. When I'm sure Lilia's hair had faded from the scarlet red of his youth (symbolically or otherwise). The ex-General of The Right had found someone who lit up his world, gave him color again.

Yes, he had Malleus. However, his ability to stick around was not only limited by the law of the Senate, but by the guilt in failing his friends who gave to the boy.

When he found Silver, he wasn't sure at first, of course. However, when the young child ran off into the forest in pure dispare from the knowledge that he wasn't his by blood, and the sweet boy had made him a bracelet of acorns with the wish that it would prolong his life.

I'm certain a part of him changed that day. That the man who belonged nowhere and was nothing finally had these small pieces of warmth and love to call his own.
