hi! is tattooing/hair dying a thing that occurs, or not really? love the rp, can’t wait to apply 👀
Yes, we believe both of those would be found in imperium! Feel free to add any tattooing/hair-dying headcanons.

What jobs are typically found in Celeia?
Hi there! Since Celeia has a large trading port and a large coastline, a lot of citizens find themselves working as merchants in some capacity--- whether it be selling fish caught from the coast, local goods to traveling merchants, or other items that may be of value. Keep in mind that due to the Maximus takeover, the port isn't as prosperous as it used to be, so citizens may find it harder to sell their merchandise.
Other jobs might be related to a trade, such as Andronicus working as a local blacksmith, or related to an establishment, such as Amadeus owning the local inn.
There's really no limit to the number of jobs available in the kingdom. If you have questions about a specific job you envision your character having, we're always happy to help you flesh it out and bring it alive on the dash.
Hi! Could you speak a little more to the price of things? Would the cost of items be pretty comparable to what they are in the States today? How much would you expect to pay for an apple? Or a night's stay at an inn? Thanks! ( Sorry if this is super specific haha)
Hey there, absolutely! We're sort of spitballing here, but the price of things is about twice the cost of things today. For example, if you go to a bar for a pint and pay $4, now you're paying ✹8. An apple might be ✹1 instead of .50 cents! Pay for a room at an inn, and you're looking at ✹200 instead of $100. The Faith produces a lot of Divinity in order to distribute it and get it back by way of tithes and taxes, and the economy functions relatively well all things considered, but the Jack Odyssey gang has been a problem for nearly thirty years and doesn't seem to be disappearing any time soon — thus why their bounties seem so astronomically high! The Faith really would like for them to be dead, or captured and taken care of.

hi! i had a question about the clothing / fashion trends at the current timestamp - would you say it's mostly old west-inspired or would it be normal for there to be clothing from other Old World time periods? i'm assuming there's a different dress across class, but does region have anything to do with it?
Hi! This was a fun question, thank you for asking. Region wouldn't have a ton to do with dress, given that dust storms are still somewhat prevalent no matter where you are in Bounty or Fool's Prospect, and protecting yourself from those is the number one priority. It's hot a good 3/4 of the year, regardless of where you are! People also probably only have a few of each item of clothing, for practical reasons, unless they've settled down completely in a city or town and don't intend to move around any time soon. I'd say that most, regardless of class, at least have dusters or jackets, wide brimmed hats, decent gloves, face coverings, and goggles or some form of eye-protection in order to ensure their best possible safety. If you live in a city like York, you might not need to use them as often, but you should have them! For actual dress, I'd say it varies! Class absolutely has an impact -- higher-up members of The Faith are usually dressed very well in elegant, black or vitriol-hued garb. By now most people have been out of bunkers and compounds long enough to surpass the need for Old World clothing, and the clothing that is still around probably isn't in the best of shape. Western genre-esque fits are what we've imagined for most situations, but clothing from previous Old World periods might also make an appearance -- we'd say that nothing is restricted on that end, so long as what's being worn makes sense in a logical way. Cocktail dresses are great, but maybe not the best for horseback riding unless you're going side-saddle. There's also the possibility of armor! Bracers, braces, leathers that go over the clothes wouldn't be out of the realm of imagination, especially for outlaws who are aware that their chances of getting shot at any point are pretty high. Like I said previously, great question!

If animal abuse is a prohibited topic of conversation, may I ask what food is readily available? Do they hunt certain animals over others? And is the mention of the killing of said game going to get someone eliminated if it's a part of the character's life?
Hi! I'm putting the answer to this under the cut, just to be safe.
hello! would you mind talking a little bit about the state of medicine in this world? i'm assuming old world medicines (antibiotics, surgery, etc) were lost in the dust? is there more advanced medicine offered in bounty vs fool's prospect?
Hi there! I’m answering this on mobile, so please forgive me if this is a slightly clunky response. Take all this with a grain of salt as I am not a medical professional nor do I know a ton about it --- I’ll probably end up doing more research and updating the world state page in a while, but I didn’t want to let this sit in the inbox for three days while I hemmed and hawed over it. A majority of medications and antibiotics as well as advanced technology would’ve been lost in the Dust, you’re totally right about that! But with the use of vitriol and humanity’s progression over the last hundred years since the dust storms began to calm, some progress has been made. Most places under The Faith’s jurisdiction in Bounty do have further advanced and developing medications and surgical treatments -- the ability to operate in a totally sanitized environment being an example, as that would be common in some places as large as York. The Faith specifically has an advantage because while they tend to fight over just about everything, The Martyr’s number one point was to help one another, and a lot of that focus went into medicine and the proper purification of water, alongside garnering other resources.
How one receives treatment might also be more spread out as well -- going to an apothecary for medications to treat the common cold, for example, rather than solely to a doctor. We also feel that traditional midwifery would be more commonplace than going to a hospital by this time. In Fool’s Prospect, it’s a little more you-get-what-you-get. Sometimes that’s a doctor who knows what they’re doing, and sometimes it’s the man down the street with a bone saw and a prayer. The experience that people have also varies; Gull, for example, was raised in a compound composed of people specifically dedicated to studying Old World medicine, and while a lot of the specific resources might be unavailable in 2349, the thought behind the practice would be there too, so they use that practice quite a bit.
Altogether, while things might be tough, and illnesses or injuries not always combatable, things aren’t totally dire in regards to medicine. Once again, I’m not a medical professional, so take all this with a grain of salt, but thank you so much for asking such a good question! Like I said, I’ll probably be updating the world state page in a few days once I’ve had time to compose some more in-depth research. Let us know if you have any more questions! <3

what kind of game would the gang hunt in these landscapes? what about flora? is there any way to grow stuff?
Hey there, great question! In terms of flora, things are incredibly dry --- the plant life that we've imagined to have survived would've need to evolve in order to continue growing, so while there's not exactly lush green fields of grass or tall towering forests in most areas, there are definitely ways to grow things, especially as things gradually change and dust storms lessen (although they don't disappear entirely). Yucca, yarrow, forms of cacti, and sedum come to mind. The Faith more than likely builds greenhouses meant to withstand the climate, and we can see Atticus Alexander Hastings II helping to fund that construction with the intention of taking a cut of the profits either. Those who don't have the luxury are stuck to the usual method of in-the-knees growth and gardening and watering, and wheat is a popular food source as a result because of how easily it grows. Those in compounds and bunkers would've also taken down whatever food source they could've in hopes of an easier time in the future. That being said, it's not brutally hot all year 'round; there are a good three or four months where things cool down enough, so people in Bounty For game, like we've discussed a little in this ask, that animals that have survived the Dust have grown to be stockier and stronger. The gang would probably go after antelope, like pronghorn (fun fact: they'll typically crawl under a fence in favor or jumping over it!), white-tail deer, rustle cattle when needed, and elk where things get a little greener. Once again, awesome question; thanks for asking!
