A Visit From… Antfrost
Relationship: platonic
Pronouns: unspecified/kept neutral
It’s been a few days since the whole festival fiasco and you were busy working away on some of the potions Wilbur had commissioned. The sound of bells chiming lets you know someone’s just entered the shop, a good investment in making said bells if you do say so yourself. You look up from your brewing stands to stare at the vaguely familiar cat-man.
“Hi there… ummm… I’m sorry, I feel like I should know you.” You say walking over to get a closer look. “Oh yeah! You were at the festival. I don’t believe we’ve properly met. I’m (y/n).” You greet holding your hand out.
“Uhhh yeah, I was. I’m Antfrost.” He greets back, accepting your handshake. “You know it’s funny, I’ve been around here for a while and I’ve always been meaning to have a look around the ‘famed alchemists’ shop but never seemed to find the time to get around to it.” He chuckles a little awkwardly.
“Oh? I’m a famed alchemist am I?” You give a smug look, making him look away almost skittishly. “Hey it’s fine, I’m sure you had your reasons.” You brush off. “So what can I do for you?”
“I was kinda just here to have a look around, I didn’t really have anything in mind.”
“No problem, if you need anything or have questions just call, I’ll be in the back.” He nods at this and you go back to working on mixing and brewing ingredients, occasionally having a look over at Ant just to make sure he wasn’t going to try and steal anything. He spends a good 20 minutes just looking around, inspecting the different potions you had up for sale.
“Ummm, (y/n)?” You look over to see Ant staring back expectantly.
“Need something?” You walk back over and see him just place down a few potions then pull out some gold and emeralds.
“Will this cover it?” He asks. You look over at the potions chosen then back at the offered payment.
“It can’t cover all of them, but it should suffice for these four.” You calculate, removing the potions he can’t afford.
“Alright, it’ll do for now.” He says with a small sigh, taking the potions and making for the door. “I’ll be sure to come back.”
“I’ll be looking forward to it.” You call as he exits. When he’s gone you let out a soft sigh, it was a nice change of pace having such a simple visit like that compared to all the chaos you let yourself get wrapped up in with the impending war between Manberg and Pogtopia. You hoped for more visits like it in the future, but nowadays, when is luck ever on your side.
