I think Gordy and Jean-Jacket should be added to the Horror Movie Monsters Hall of Fame.

But the real monster of NOPE is humanity's attraction to and tendency to exploit those we consider non-human.

Also I think Jordan Peele saw the documentary about Buck Brannaman, the movie Arrival, and combined them with his experience as a Black Man in Hollywood to make Nope.

Here's an experiment for the day... As you go through your day, doing your routine, chores, errands, work, play.... You can try imagining everyone and everything is alive, filled with life force, .... anthropomorphize the world around you. Make friends with your couch, appreciate the walls of your house for doing such a good job holding up the ceiling and protecting you from the weather.... Say hi to your car, ask your fridge how it's doing.... Give the physical world some love and appreciation. Imbue the mundane with magic and wonder. Life's a miracle so shake yourself out of your habits sometimes and do something silly to get a new perspective. Have fun!
