Hello. Hope its ok, I want to tell someone. I am autistic. My mom believes asexuality is a phase&there are only two genders&that im only convincing myself of my identities. I fluctuate between he&they. I feel uncomfortable with my body. Sometimes I feel better as genderless. Im afraid to out myself to anyone. I hate being touched alot. My mom has jokingly called me pathetic bc i wanted her to stop touching my hair. I am transmasc-enby&ace&demiro. Thank u, I hope this isn't bothersome.
There’s no specific question here, so if I don’t touch on something you wanted to talk about, please message back and let me know!
I’m so sorry your mom is dismissive and rude of your very reasonable and fair boundaries! She sounds like someone who believes she owns you and your body just because she’s your parent. She is wrong. You are allowed to set as “strict” boundaries around your personal space as you want, including with any parents/guardians/relatives/friends/partners! You are not pathetic. Your mom is pathetic and defensive about it. She is also queermisic - anti-ace and binarist.
You do not have to come out to anyone. It is perfectly valid to not come out for your safety. It is perfectly valid to not come out because of your energy level for the interaction. It is perfectly valid to not come out simply because you don’t want to or don’t feel like it. It is perfectly valid to not come out.
I’m not sure where you’re located, but if you need someone to talk to about all this, you might try contacting any local queer orgs in your area or looking into helplines or textlines for abuse or even just for stress. They can help validate your feelings and help you gather up resources for eventually getting out of this toxic and unhealthy situation.
I would start planning now to get out as soon as you are legally able to do so. This sounds like a terrible living situation to be stuck in.
I’m thinking of you and wishing you all the best, anon.
