idk if youve already explained this or (i dont think so?? im sorry if you have 😞) but uhh why do you hate evan (and marlene?) . is it bc they dont have canon personalities?
it’s not entirely because they have no canon personalities 😅 i like emmeline and caradoc, and they have no canon personalities. the thing about those two is that people routinely give them the same status as canon characters when that’s not the case, and the fanon surrounding them both is much more annoying than the one with lets say mary macdonald.
with evan rosier, it’s mostly that i think it’s a shame he’s who barty’s popularly shipped with when i think there are choices that actually make sense(like rabastan or peter), but also that he gets that generic “sarcastic boy who was forced to be a deatheater” thing that originated with draco 😅 but also that i hate the way people try to connect the lovegood family with the death eaters(what xeno did in book 7 feels like it is minimized by hcing stuff like that). i think it was originally people hcing xeno as a malfoy it’s just that rosier pandora is more popular nowadays. with marlene, i feel like people acting like she is anything more than a character mentioned literally four times at most in the series is worse because she was also popular in the og marauders fanon. dead gay wizards people act like you’re a misogynistic homophobe for not particularly caring about her or not shipping her with a woman, and modern blackinnon shippers act like they’re being oppressed for liking a het ship and like their mid ship is a lost treasure. fanon marlene is also just deeply uninteresting anyway(she’s usually just the same as fanon sirius but a woman in my experience.)
i officially became a hater when i saw someone say that sirius canonically got marlene pregnant.
it’s chill if you like these characters my opinions aren’t the end all be all of things. :)
